SAS with 3" springs?
Has anyone ever done an SAS with smaller springs (i.e. Trail-Gear's 3 in kit), and gone with 33's or something? Whats the smallest SAS lift that can be done? Pics would be nice!

Well just wondering how 33's would be with the 3" trail-gear setup... and do you really need 1" higher lift in the rear like their web site says? Who has done either and whats your recommendation?

33's will fit fine. And yes since these runners have a heavy ass they tend to sag. 1" morelift will cure the problems.Do you really need a SAS?

HAHA, I know they will fit. My plan is to use TG 3" front and 4" rear setups. Just wondering more if 33's would be too small to run or if I would need to modify the spring packs to keep it low, just trying to figure out what works best for what I want. Thanks for the input tho

On second thought put on some 38" tires, flex it out max front and back, let that do your trimming, then put your 35's on HAHAHA!

I just bought the 3" kit from trail-gear. I plan on installing it in two weeks. I'm only going to be running 32's for a while. There are some other guys on here that have run the 4" kit with 32's and they seem to like it.

I Just finished this one today.

Its actually a 4" front/5" Rear with a 1" longer shackle in the rear. I highly recommend running the longer shackle on the 2nd gen 4runner.
IMHO, the 3" fronts sit just as high as the 4" fronts if not higher.
I have plenty of experience with these kits. I have done numerous SAS installs for customers.
Here is a 1st gen with 33s that I did also:

"IMHO, the 3" fronts sit just as high as the 4" fronts if not higher." - This true? Doesn't make any sense? Unless you place the front hanger to far forward maybe...
not saying your wrong, just wondering why that is.And whats the setup exactly on that 1st gen?
Anyways, I already have two 8" diffs with 4.88's and limited slips, and at least for the next year or two its gonna be my daily also, so want something more mellow that I can still play with.
