Are you worried about the 3.4 having too much HP for the tranny?

22ret's use a R151, the v6's use and r150, turbo supra's use an r154.. only differances is gear ratio's mostly.. g/w tranies can take 400hp and be okay, r series are the bigger older fater red headed sister of the w/g series trans.. they use a w/g behind the 3.4 anyway.. he will be fine.

auto is nice if you have the power to get moving.. i think an auto in my runner would have been nice, but cost and the fact i already had a r series 5spd lead me that route.
i think auto makes for a better crawler imo, more maintenance for the auto and more weight, but with a couple mods, like a shift kit and a HD converter you can have a really solid auto trans. plus the a340 can be full manual if you want..

i want the auto for wheeling. i like my 99s auto and it weighs 6000 pounds.

hey birdduck is there any way you coulld help me with the wiring? my friend is letting me use his shop for a week so i gotta get it done. im gonna clean the bay and hopefully get motor mounts made tomorrow (today, its 130), and yeah the 3.0 bell bolts to the 3.4. another question for you all is, is there ANY way to run dual exhaust on a 3.4? like from manifolds back? i just cant think of a way cause of o2 sensors?

You can get 02 sensor simulators. I got mine from a local auto parts store. I know that URD sells them online aswell.
