mud truck build " axles"

Going to start building an all "Toyota parts" mud truck. Right now im just sourcing parts and doing homework for build. I plan on using the 2uz as powerplant; Can the Toyota 8 handle that kinda power with 40 in tractor tires?

I hate to even say it, but, IMO, you're going to have to dump so much money into Toyota axles that would be better spent on a mild build with a pair of 60's.

If i cant run toyota axles , i will probably go straight to rockwells. So you don't think they can take the torque and 40s?

Big jump from toy axles to rocks. You might make them last depending on the skinny pedal.

Found a few sets of rocks for $1100, thats what blown trucks run. So i guess that route will be bullet proof

IMO your going to need/want a lot more motor if your planning on rockwells with 40in tractor tires or larger. Most mud trucks big enough to run rockwells are running built big block motors putting three to four times the amount of power of a 2uz.
