homemade high steering question

I was wondering if anybody here has ever made there own high steering kit? If so, what was used and how was it made. Im getting my first check from my new job and it doesnt look like I will be able to swing the cost of buying one because my new job doesnt make me rich in any way, lol.any info would be great. Oh, the truck I have is a 87 4runner with sas. Thanks.

For the time, effort and materials, buying one will be far cheaper in the long run.

Im asking the same question... made my own high steer arms out of 1" stock but i never corrected my knuckle angle when i adjusted the pinion angle. Had to weld a piece on top of the high steer arm to pull everything above the leafs. Double and Triple fillet welded in on but im running 35x16x16.5 boggers. i just dont know how safe it is or if anyone has done it yet. any help or comments would be great if this is alright or not.

We used to run another set of arms flipped on top of the stock arms welded and gusseted. I wouldn't recommend it though.

Unless you really know what your doing, don't play with steering parts for your safety and everyone's else. Spend the couple hundred bucks and potentially save a life
