FJ40 leafs for 1st gen SAS?

Looking ahead to a future SAS on my 88 4runner. I have a shrinking chance to get a '74 FJ40 with good axles, springs, and powertrain and few other decent parts for $350. Was thinking about using the front springs for the SAS and selling the rest.

I don't see any threads where it's been done on a Yota, though one Isuzu had. Anyone know if these springs would work alright, or cause more problems than it's worth?

I guess they do seem old in that context. But for the price! I'm torn. Relatedly Wabbit, in your experience is there much [any] demand for the orignal F motors in decent running condition?
