Drivability of SAS'd 92 P/U

I have read several posts over the last few weeks about SAS'd rigs and I have yet to really hear about the streetablity/driveability of a rig with a SAS. Mine will not be a DD and I do know that it will not be similar to IFS, but I have never driven or owned a SA vehicle in the past. What are some of you guys thoughts on this? your personal experiences? I do not do major wheeling or rock climbing but I am about to venture off into a SAS really soon. My Rig is a 92 reg. cab with the infamous 3.0.

As always, thanks for the replies in advance,
T_BONE

Oh yeah, as stated in my sig. I also have a 3" BL. I know this will give me a higher COG as well.

Thanks,

I have built 3 (none of my own) and they do well. It's not as smooth as the IFS, but it's not terrible. You will feel the dirt roads more

JSN, Thanks for the reply. yeah, I figured as much with the feeling of the bumps and potholes. I should have cleared up that I meant drivability on the highway. I dont want something that will put me in a ditch somewhere doing 70mph on the interstate. I know that curves and turns will be somewhat squirrely due to the higher COG, but I want to know more about the handling of the vehicle mor than comfort of the ride.

Thanks,
T_BONE

I drive my SAS'd 91 SR5 at 70 mph with no issues. I have 10" suspension/3" BL and 42" tall Swampers.

I actually like the ride over my IFS, but you do need to know that ruts and potholes do affect the SAS differently from IFS.
