dana 44?

ok so I want to sas my truck and I found a pair of front and rear dana 44 axles both with 4.56 gears the rear has an ez locker and the front has an ez locker as well but no knuckles or shafts he is asking $250 for both are they worth it ?

Sure.

Sounds like a good deal. Sucks you just got new tires though, they'll look goofy on a huge truck.

3" springs is the absolute minimum to clear the steering.

Usually that is 4-5" over stock.

ok cuz I dont want to be any higher than 3-4 over stock is that possible at all

If you do it yourself, you MAY be able to go lower.

Its been done. However, I'm fairly sure those who did it had a different steering set up.

Good luck with the project. Out of curiosity and not to be rude, but you just bought a bunch of IFS stuff. Have you wheeled that yet? If so, what was so awful about it that you decided to cut it off?

I will look forward to your build process. Hopefully you do it the correct way with longs and a front locker. If not, you will have just spent a bunch of money to get stronger steering.

no I just have always wanted to do a sas and I used to have an 1982 toyota 4x4 setup for crawling and I miss it my IFS is nowhere as good as my 82 was but its not bad I do like the ride I just found these axles and thought I would ask I mst likely wont cuz lake of funds

those are great axles so buy them and for like 150 dollars you can buy a set of welderbuilt knuckles
