Spring hangers from Datinfab.com - Custom made and shipped in 1 day! It is well made and heavy duty!!

Enough photos of rusty metal. Time for some questions.

The drivers side spring will ride directly below the pitman arm. This looks like an issue shared with Toyota solid axles since 1" closer wouldn't make it any better. Is this an issue?

What springs should I order? (and from where?) I want 4-5" lift over stock. Stock being a 93 IFS. It looks like there will be another 275 pounds of engine over a 22RE.

This is a mockup with the axle right where I want it. With the driveline installed and springs settled, it looks like the leafs will need to sit pretty much flat.

Aftermarket options are 4", 5", or 6" lift. I'm thinking now about scavenging some stock springs from a boneyard and adding an overload leaf or two to handle the V8. Target tire size is 35". Those are 32's.

The axle width is spot-on. Exactly what I wanted.

What are 'waggy' springs? Why a shackle reverse?

The V8 and EFI are done, but the axle swap has been on hold for a while. Hopefully I'll have time to get back to it soon.

Either he is confused and doesn't realize that the shackles are already behind the axle on mini truck SA stuff, or he is not confused and he wants you to put the shackles in the front.

I'm pretty sure you will be just fine with a SOA, standard shackle set up, and the d44's. Its worked for hundreds and thousands of SAS rigs. I'm pretty sure it will work for you.

Waggy springs are from a Wagoneer, a common truck to find taco swap stuff from, as they had driver drop d44's. Obviously you already have your pass drop stuff, but the springs from wagoneers are fairly decent.
