yes, that is what most people do, you could either buy a SAS kit, or buy all the parts sepratly

Uhh, the fact it doesnt have knuckles to make the wheels turn...
I mean, If going straight the whole time is your thing...go for it...

You need a solid FRONT axle out of a 79-85

If you like alot of math and geometry, sure you can use coilovers..

And some are wider then your rear axle, but thats what wheel spacers are for....

.... with a hell of alot of mods, money and time iam sure that it could be done.. but your looking at needing axles, knuckles, hubs, brakes, and even then your going to have to modify the axle tubes so much that im not sure if it would even be structually sound. keep an eye on craigslist, i hear talks of trail-gear putting out a front housing, should be cheaper then a diamond... id just keep lookin for one and if need be get one shiped to ya ... ..... o yea and if your looking to use toyota knuckels.. your gonna need the knuckel balls off a factory housing anyway.. too much work imo and to many variables that can make you when you get it done and somthing aint right. thats my .02
