Oh. I had heard they were designed off of the Hummer locks, which is why I call them that.

And yeah, they are way pricey. But I like em. The stauns will probably be what I get though. However, I do like the rim protection you get from a traditional beadlock.

Build looks good. It does seem a little rusty, but just do like Volcom did, and Cut the fenders out big time. Or better yet, cut them off completely and tube it!!!!

He's gonna have his body and paint guy weld in replacement panels there. The rust is pretty well contained to the rear wheel wells though. The front fender section will get cut for clearance anyway eliminating all of it. The under carriage is actually in great condition.

Why on earth would I do that? I like my body panels straight, and I've found plenty of trails that my IFS can do just fine that my body can't already. That kind of hardware would be useless on my truck.

These springs will settle at least 2-3" I'd bet. I still have to do sliders, winch bumper, rear bumper/tire carrier, dual cases, 3/8" skid, etc. It will definitely drop the ride height significantly.

won't the corners on the rear bumper act like an anchor? They look like they hang down without any kind of slope to them...

There is a sloped gusset there to help it slider over stuff.

ok, that sounds better. Any reason you didn't just leave it flat on the bottom?

Clearance. That is 1.5"x2.5" .250 wall there. Its very difficult to build a tire carrier with enough strength without using square tubing. The downside of that is that you lose clearance at the wraparounds if you don't run smaller tubing.
