I'll try to remember to bring my camera to the shop tomorrow and take some pictures for you. It consists of the main 88 pack minus the overload with 2 leaves added to the bottom of the pack, and one on top half way for the anti-wrap. This photo was kind of dark sorry.

I still have the 4" Pro-Comp lift. Everything but the u-bolts for the 4" rear blocks. I had to cut them to remove them.
Talk to him I will sell it on the cheap.

 

Not much to do with the SAS, but here is an ok shot of my center console that i built.

 

Some speaker boxes for the 6x9's that came with the Runner. Bolted them to the roll bar so they wont get squished.

Better close up of the springs, steering box mount, and bump stop. Excuse the used rod ends I'll be ordering some new ones soon. They aren't totally worn out yet.

how is the steering caster with the pinion angle up that high? or did you cut the tubes and just rotate the diff?

 

It is a high pinion diff. But i did french the hanger in, so the caster is not too bad.

 

Well, I could not help my self today. I took her for a shake down run with no shocks. Kind of muddy out. Got a little warm up north here. She rides like a dream. Hate the front bump stops. Going to order some softer ones on the a.s.a.p. Love the power with the 5.29 gears and the 3.4 liter. Geared a little under for 35's, but gets to the point quick.

 

nice job. had to go back n look, didnt notice the high pinion set up, just kinda looked st the flange.

 

If you all have not noticed, I have to run 2" wheel spacers in the front to match the width of the rear Tacoma axle. They are still hub centric. The brakes still have some air in the lines. I will be removing the LSPV and putting on the T100 brake booster.

i did that once. only once! drove a lifted yota w/o shocks back in 84. it was my 83 w/ old school 6" lift with 36" mickeys. scared the bageebers out of me!!!! lol.

 

I bet lol. The Runner handles pretty well it sits low and pretty much rides on the bump stops. Damn IFS frames. Hard to get a lot of up travel without really hacking up the frame. But it is meant for snow wheeling and 4x4, not high speed rallying and jumping.

 

Thanks for the pics, that really clears up the mounting angle for me. I'll probably use the flat pitman arm I got as a just in case. I'll end up a little taller than yours cause I have a set of rear Old Man Emu leaf springs to use. I like your bumpstop mount, I think I might copy it.

Just be careful, and not to greedy with the angle of the box. It will make the u-joint angle extreme. Also make sure that your steering shaft does not hit the bottom of the brake booster. If it gets close, the 85-87 Turbo, or 88-89 V6 4runner, or 88 V6 booster is smaller in diameter, and an upgrade.

You can also pull a leaf, or move in some factory leaves in place of some OME's.

The bump stop mount seams to work well. However, I do not recommend the bump stops that I am using.
