Austin will be in NM this evening.

He said if not the mine he could do it at his Dad's place in SF. So it looks like something will be happening. I wouldn't care if we even just went to a Restaurant when we come off the trail, no hassle.

Whatever works for me, too...I'd be happy to contribute to a cookout or sit in a restaurant after we get off the trail.

Hey guys!
As Jim said I will be making it to ABQ this evening so I will be able to make the run tomorrow! I'm still waiting to hear from the step-mom about the mine. I will call again today on the way in and if I still can't get through I guess we can just can it and go to a restaurant. If anyone wants to bring corn with the shucks still on them I have a good receipt for cooking them on the grill. I also have some beer that is brewed in NC for everyone (thats 21) to try if your into that sort of thing. Hope all is well and I just signed up for this siricom thing so now I can stop at almost any truck stop and get on the net. Anyway, glad things still look like they are on track. I will know tonight about the mine.

I had a great time wheeling with you guys!!

What a great two days of wheeling, I don't think I could have asked for a better turn out. The weather was perfect, the trails were challenging yet fun for all, great group of people, I can't wait to come back! Anyway, I'm talking with corey about getting a sticky put up in the OT forum for me to post teasers/wallpaper in. I'll post a link when I get that up.

As for the mine, it is a go for tuesday at 5 (or whenever you get off work ) Bring the whole family, there is plenty of turquoise to find and fun for the kids. I will have my stove, blender and plenty of cooler space. There are still quite a few (20 or so) beers left over from last night so they will be there as well. Due to the timing I think it would be cool to do another BBQ. What does everyone want to do about food? I'm open for any suggestions so lets hear them! We could do it potluck style where everyone brings one thing?

It was definitely a ton o' fun! I can't wait to see the teasers/wallpapers of some of the action.

As for pot-luck style food for the mine, that would be cool (of course, I'd be happy with beer and brats again ) Do we have a specific style of food we are shotting for?

A fantastic two days of wheelin' indeed!!! It was great to meet and wheel with some new people, and a great group of wheelers at that!

I'm in for the potluck thing, I could bring some BBQ chicken, or whatever is needed.

Ditto...great wheelin' and it was nice to meet some new NM people. I can't wait to see more pics and video clips.

I think I suffered the only carnage of the weekend, a broken front axle; most likely due to too much droop...changed it on the trail in 35 mins.

Indeed, an awesome weekend of fun in the sun. I think I'm in for Tuesday as well. I'll see if I can bring my co-pilot, who usually drives the hard stuff in Moab.

Austin, I really like that picture you just put up. I didn't realize there was such a cool back drop from that junction....Very cool.

BTW, a great "thank you" to your Dad for hosting us at his pad. Did you get a pic of him crashed in the chair?

Do you have them pointed out or in? I am assuming out...I ran those Fabtechs for a while and probably broke 4 in a year or so with them turned out. The valve sticks out so far you will break it on your hard brake line when fully drooped and turned sharp. You can get free replacements by calling Fabtech. Turn the valves in when you put them back on.

This is the second one i break, do you think the shock would need a rebuild or just a nitrogen charge?

Ok,
So I need a head count for tomorrow so I know how much food to bring/tell others to bring. Jim, I'm truly sorry you are going to miss this one. I still owe you one for opening your home to me and will get you and the family out to the mine next time I'm in town! I really want to make it out to Moab sometime too!

Steve,
Be sure to check out the rest of the teasers/wallpaper There is another good one of your truck at the bottom of the canyon from that day.

So, who wants to bring what? I'll have refreshments (both alcoholic and virgin) as well as the cooking/eating devices covered. If someone could bring meat and another bring salad I think we will be good. Depending on the meat someone else could bring buns.

If it leaked oil, which they sometimes do, you should fill it up again. If not, then a recharge should be good.

Mirage Racing (619) 562-5533 deals with Fox Fabtech stuff. In fact, I think they rebuild the Fox shocks for Fabtech.

Very cool, I did see another shot of the mountain, and my 4Runner towards the bottom. Great shots.

Carole and I will be able to attend. We can bring some brats and/or hamburgers. We just need to know how much to bring, as in, how many people are going to be there.........

Also, where are we going to meet? I don't know where this mine is......and, if its going to be raining (as it poured down today), we may want to reconsider the location....... We are willing to offer up our spot for the BBQ. We have a great view from our back patio of the mountains with a covered porch, a grill, plenty of seating for all, and lots of parking space for everybody.
