Question Entry Fees?

On the registration site it does NOT say anything about fees. That is correct but in our posts it has been made clear that donations are WELCOME. I know we get people viewing YT all the time and have seen guys even join just to slam someone or cause problems for everyone. That is the only way I see the Clowns hearing about money even if it was in the form of donations. There is a club of offroaders in the Naches Valley though and who knows if one of them played detective to TATTLE on us.

Which posts requested donations?

We did not ask for money because we did not have any expenses for the event that were not being covered by by the organizers personally.

YotaTech requesting people who are able to donate, to chip in toward bandwidth to keep the board rolling is very different than charging admission to an event or selling concessions.

I have trouble believing even the Forest Circus could have confused that...

Post Donations.

Im not saying it was a bad thing for donations to be made. I dont recall it being donations for YJ. I remember it being a person going to YJ that said it is free but that attending mods would be more than happy to take donations for what I assume was YT. I will dig around and try to find where I saw that post.

Head's Up!

Rob and I now have faces to go with the characters in this story of injustices by the US Forest Service.

We have succesfully navigated the path to and from the Naches ranger station - no one was killed, maimed or otherwise thrown in jail for the night during the gathering of this intel. ... though, there were clearly thoughts coming from one of the investigators that would have caused a mighty incident had they been acted upon.

(btw, if you ever see the whites of Rob's eyes turn red - run, it's a bit spooky.)

I'm working on a full write-up which I'll post up a bit later. The short form is that watching weather patterns coming up through the Chinook valley was possibly the highlight of the evening. These guys are really an interesting bunch when it comes to "caring about the public opinion".

I look forward to your opinion in regard to the details above.

Respectfully yours,

David, No response? They are nothing of not predictable...

I just fired another volley from my deck, this time to the head of the Wenatchee Forest and the state ranger.

I made some pretty specific accusations and asked some pointed questions. If I don't get a satisfactory response, the next round goes to the National Forest Circus in the other Washington and their parent org, the USDA. After that, I will issue a press release. Hopefully that will not be required.

Nope, no response, and I'm not surprised. I more or less called him a big fat liar, and I think he's chosen to ignore the "problem." It sounds like we were lucky to sneak one more run in before they completely shut the area down. I don't deny that things are dry out there, but a complete closure was not the way to go. I'm wondering if this is the first step towards completely shutting down that area to ORV's. Will they open it back up immediately after the first heavy rain? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
