Would you attend a Colorado Event like this?

Location: Buena Vista, CO

Duration: Friday through Sunday

Timeframe: Mid August

Trail Agenda:
Hardest: Holy Cross, Iron Chest, Chinamen's
Harder: Nothing, Grizzly Lake, Wheeler Lake
Scenic: Nothing, Mount Antero, Mosquito Pass

Halfmoon Creek is still out there moderately. The middle days are all in the same area, all close and should run decent.

If we are heavy with more modified rigs, there will be other trails, and/or multiple runs at Chinamen's and Holy Cross

Please comment.

After doing a LOT of searching for a Kampgrounds in the other areas we talked about, I've come to the conclusion that, it would be hard to beat Chalk Creek. So might as well count me in!!!! Still alot of trails in the BV area we've yet to run.

Jake.

P.S. Where do we sign up?

Are you thinking about putting anything easier on the list?
Or is this for the more hardcore?

So I guess there are only 3 hard trails in Colorado? I don't think so. Since I passed on last year I guess I could do the same ones again. Since I took a year off.

YOUR NOT going to run Martinez/Woodpecker or Terminator next time your here. Plan on the Gap by Tucson or Axle Alley.

I think a Mini Van could probably run the "senic" trails.

I was just wondering if my truck would make it through some of those trails.

You could try the middle stuff but it might not be pretty.

Yeah, I'd like to attend but I can't really commit yet. I really need a solid date too so I'll keep watching this to see what comes up. Regardless, I'll be happy to get out of AZ for a couple days in August.

There are MANY hard trails in Colorado - the difference from here and AZ is the distance between the montain ranges so the trails are spread out further. We can make the "3 hard trails" as difficult at we want too! Nice new picture you got there- I like the old Schaefer Beer eblem better- call me old fashion (and don't forget very atractive too).

I also agree, after pondering other alternatives, that Chalk Creek in Buena vista is the best all around spot.

Red Cone would be a stretch for one day. Grizzly Lake trail could be fun moderate addition. Iron Chest is questionable. All the large rocks they put back in the trail are loose. So they roll around under your rig. When I looked at the first section last summer, there was no way I was going to do it. Perhaps the rocks will "set up" over the winter.

That would cool if Schaefer made it this year.

I would attend a CO. trip if it werent in CO.

That is a very far drive for me. But I'm not completely counting myself out just yet.

I will add some more. It was a long hard one today.

There is some tweaking and rules to make, post, etc.

Expect more later in the week.

Brent hit it, there are plenty of hard trails here. There is just plenty of space between them.

If I have a monster truck, I will do Iron Chest. Steve will, Steve will, Jim will, Brent will and who knows about other big trucks I have never met.

Just do it. I drove from North Carolina for the CO Jam in '03.

Adrian...What you have so far looks good. I am looking at coming out there in some capacity. Best case I make the NC-CO drive again; worst case I maybe ride shotgun with someone.

If you go, you could drive here, we could drive to Albq. and then on to Co.

That's 3 days there and probably 2 back. Along with the 3 or so days in Colorado.

Keep in mind there will be a Moab thing again, so you will have to weigh which one to make the journey for. That would be an easy call for me. Red Rocks all the way Baby.
