WA Reiter Pit run Saturday 04 OCT
Hey guys,
I found out that the Chevy ZR2 guys are going to Reiter Pit on Saturday so as I have been wheeling with them before, I think that it would be a great opportunity to wheel with "other" rigs so as to reinforce the superiority of Toyotas. Anyone coming? The meeting place is the Safeway in Monroe off of SR2 at 0900. I am not sure as to whether I am going yet, but I am leaning toward going at this moment.

Well, looks like Fun. I think I'll go and rip it up. Im hoping I can figure out my front end clunk by then. I think Im going to take my shocks off cause they aren't long enough. I aint been wheelin in a long time. Keep in mind too that this run will be weaker, since we'll be running with some stock ZR2's, and maybe an AMC eagle. Seafarinman: Looks like us Yota kids need to show the chevy boys whats up.

As soon as I get the rest of my truck trail ready I'll definately be coming down. I'm really looking forward to some snow runs this winter. I can't get enough of snow!

Serith,
Thanks for the compliment. It would have been better to have more Toyotas along, even though we were evenly matched in numbers with the Chevy guys. It was my first time there to Reiter, and it was certainly fun, but no Evan's Creek either! Hope that we can get more multi-brand runs together soon. I am going back to sea in a few months, so I want to get some more wheeling in before I have to sail! (edit: It was the first time that I had to use my winch to get myself unstuck:pat: )

Dude,
I still need to post the few pics that I took. Jimmy has a film camera, and the other ZR2 peeps (Kemanz and Bunny) have theirs posted at the NWZR2.org site I think.:pat:

Cool, yea i saw you guys up there, i was the one with the green truck, my brother had the black toyota next to mine. Hey if your going again you should let everyone know see if you can't get more people to go.
I had a lot of fun spending an hour in a half getting my truck unstuck from 4 feet of mud. Right before you climb the "Index wall" (The wall) the huge mud pit, i think i saw you guys looking at it, had a red 4runner sorta try it. good fun.

Yeah, I was going to follow DeathCougar through that muck, but the non-winched ZR2's were not going to try so I thought that I should come along in case they got in trouble in the trees. I ended up getting stuck (damn long wheelbase) and winching myself through the tree roots and the ruts that they dug wth their "Gov-Lock" equipped rear ends. After that, well it was pretty pointless since they were in front and I couldn't pass them. We ended up looping back out the way we came in, and heading out of there. That was a pretty sweet ride you have there. I hope to get started on my SAS next year after I get back from my deployment and have the money to spend on the rig. I have to replace my parking brake cable before I think about wheeling any time soon. I am just glad that it broke at my home and not out in the sticks.
