socal hungry valley weekend even in sept?

Do you guys want to have a weekend camping excursion at Hungry Valley (Gorman) in September?

Trails will be open to all 4wd and 2wd members we'll all organize the trails so everyone can have fun. Last time we were able to play around in some cool trails that the 2wd members were able to experience with joy so I'd like to do it again! So nobody will be left out! I think the 2wd will venture in the similar trails we covered last time and the 4wd members might be able to check out miller jeep trail or something...

This way we don't have to meet up ultra early on saturday just to wheel for a few hours! Plus this gives the chance for non-local members join us at the camp sight!!! what do we all say to that?

Since we had a pretty good gathering for the last Hungry Valley trail run, I thought I might set something up more in advance so we can get a better turn out!!! SD fellas, whatcha all say? this way you can drive up friday and camp and relax and then we can head out to the trail all day saturday!

Ofcourse you're all welcomed to come and go anytime too

How does Sept 12-14 (fri-sun) sound?

I'd like to get alteast a minimum of 6 so we can make it official!! (When I DO get 6 then I"ll make a thread in the Offroad-trip section!)

Lance

I'm definitely ready to go, but is the date set in stone? The only reason I ask is it's pretty close to Labor day and I might need time off then also. Is the next weekend after that possible?(19,20,21)
It's marked on the calendar anyway
I just want to make it as easy as possible to get the time off.

Lance,

I think I can make it. I will probably roll up on Sat. morning. It only takes me an hour to get there.

well labor day is sept 1 (mon)... the following weekend is the 5-7... so i figure that might be too close so I set it for 12-14.

but if everyone feels that 19-21 is better that's fine w/ me!!

so right now I'm just taking names to see who wants to go and when . if nobody objects to the 19-21 then we can set it for that date instead rob!!!

Question 50/50 chance I'll show

Hey there Lance, about Miller Jeep Trail -

I researched several on-line trail reports/photos and talked to some TTORA guys. I am convinced I should have armor and a locker to be prepared for that trail, just in case. I know you want badly to conquer that road and I want to do it with you. But I don’t want be all stressed about it or it won’t be fun.

I’ve got a couple other pans in the fire right now and I’m not sure I can get it all together by then. If I can, I’ll use it as a break-in run, because THAT would be fun. If not, I’ll likely skip the weekend. I’ll stay in touch here and let you know how my upgrades are coming.

Alan

BTW, how do you like your DO sliders? Bolt on or weld on? Photos? J

Since alot of people want to do the pismo run instead on the same weekend (12-14), I think we're gonna have to reschedule this run on some other weekend where we can get a large group to attend.

I was thinking about the weekend after but I'm not too sure if it's wise to do two runs back to back (just in case something breaks down).

anyway let's see how the pismo run goes and then we can figure out a permanent date for the hungry valley

unless ofcourse, someone has a better idea that is!

Postponing Hungry Valley works for me, since I wouldn't have enough armor to attempt Miller Jeep Trail anyway.

Have a good time in Pismo guys!
