Brett,
If you start to get bogged down just let me know and I'll toss you a rope! I should have plenty of torque to spare by then. I don't think the pop-up will fit on the trailer with the runner but it there is a slim chance...
I need to get an extra tranny cooler before the trip! Also, how long is it from Atlanta to tellico? Just so I know how to prepare the peanut gallery...Marc,
Its week after next, I'll give you a shout when I talk to some people and make some more solid plans. I tried calling the person I'd stay with and she hasn't called me back yet. Its also is looking like that are going to be able to make the caravan on thursday
Easy fellas,
I wasn't trying to say you weren't representing the sponsors enough, just saying it was another way to *plug* *plug* *plug*

On a side note...
I can't wait for another one of those walmart subs!! Those things are so amazing out on the trail for some reason...?

UPDATE
Just got a PM from Dave at 4WDTO on TTORA...he wants to publish the ride information in the upcoming magazine in addition to the article in a future edition after the event...looks like this might get even bigger quick.

Don't wait and reserve your camping/sleeping arrangements w/ Crawford's or whomever...as there is another big ride the week after us and folks might be getting there early.
There will also be a cut-off for t-shirts and registration at some time so we can get things organized, a count to the caterer and plan out some things...so those of you who are planning on waiting until the last minute...DON'T...or the rockcrawler will leave camp w/o you!

Cool!
Brady and I have a site reserved! We will probably just have 2 MAYBE 3 tents setup on our site so I'm sure there will be room for at lest one more tent if someone wants to throw in.

Just talked w/ Dave at 4WDTO and if you want your pictures considered for the 4WDTO article (possible cover photo opportunity here) then they must be a MINIMUM of 1200x1600...the higher resolution the better! Andy will be compiling all the pictures to submit and doing the article...so if you are going to take pictures at SE4RJ3 for submission it might be advantageous to bring something that you can download them to (CD, DVD, something) so that Andy can get them all with him before he leaves SE4RJ3.
If he has any preferences etc I'm sure he'll chime in!
Things keep clicking right along...

It tows just fine, I'm thinking Marc will be the slowest, it's not a race anyway. Atlanta to Tellico, dang I should know this by now, probably about 2 hours all the way to Crawfords.
Hey-week after next-if you come to Atlanta next weekend (17th) you can go to Riverrock with us.

I'll have my laptop so as long as you have a USB cable to plug in, i'll burn everything to a CD and the rip them to my HD as well.
Brett - what are you thinkin'????
I just drove up from Jacksonville, FL a few weeks back and it was about 2hrs from downtown ATL to Cleveland - the exit you take to go to Murphy. From there, it's another hour-plus to get to Murphy, and then 20 minutes to get to Crawfords.
With you in tow and the winnie leading the pack, i'd plan on 4hrs from ATL.

Unfortunately its a Gasser, Ford 460 with a holley 4barrel. HUGE land barge going down the road, especially with the 85 in tow on my 20ft trailer. So it is usually a 65mph limit. So it will be slow rollen for me.

What was I thinking, I guess 3 hours would be about right for my usual speed. It usually takes me about 4.5 hours from my house to Crawfords and about 1.5 of that is to Atlanta from Auburn. I'm usually going 70 or faster even with the camper-I really should slow down though.

Andy,
I'll have my 10-in-1 card reader so so any type of card will be able to be read so no worries there
65 mph will be great for milage! I'll be getting 20+mpg, especially if we draft each other. I'll be happy to tow the heaviest trailer, but I have a feeling its going to be my trailer anyway. Its listed as a stage/trailer on the list and is made out of wood. What time are you guys shooting to head out again? Not toooo early I hope, its going to be a 4-4.5hr trip from Savannah. What sort of radios does everyone use? I know Brett will have a CB. Do you have a CB in the winnie Marc? I might have to get a CB before the trip if thats what everyone is going to be using. I have the GMRS/FRS but no CB yet.

CB and cell phone for me. I'm thinking that Marc and I and probably Greg will meet up on I-575. I would like to be in Atlanta around lunch or early afternoon and be at Crawfords by at least 5pm or so. Of course, my schedule this time will be up in the air with the little one.

Alrightey,
anyone know about what time the sun goes down then? 5pm sounds like a good time to arrive though, so that puts us leaving Atlanta at 1. That sounds pretty do-able to me. I'll shoot to be at Marc's at 11:30 incase we run into traffic in Atlanta.
