to sum it up, this ride was to try to keep the forest service from closing one of the better trails in ga. aka rich mountain. click here for the info .

anyway, to sum it up.. 118 rigs showed up and we had a convoy of 2 miles . quite the impressive site. hopefully the forest service will let the trail stay open with the arrival of our many letters and our "march" so to speak. are some pics. enjoy.

this one you can see how long the convoy was. i was towards the rear of the pack..

rigs at the staging area

It definitely was a great gathering, kinda fizzled out at the end though. Good to see you again, Mike. I'll wheel with you anytime! My wife said we should've brought her sister so that you would've had some company. hehe

Hey, I can't see your pics anymore-- did you remove them?

I watched the video-- one of the Southern Jeeps guys was hosting it. I had to download it at work because it was 135MB!!!! It's just the shot of everyone driving by the camera as the guy counts. You were #99, and I was #100.

man that picture that still shows was taken right on 515, just a few miles after 575 ends...i hate statesboro so much, y'all met at town center which is 15 minutes from my house and then drove right by my house getting there, and here i am stuck 230 miles away in south georgia!!! i can't wait for school to end! I do have good memories on that stretch of highway, i used to "exercise" my CBR929rr on that stretch of road frequently!

It's in this thread:

Southern Jeeps forum

just beware like I said-- it's 135mb download, and the guy's server can only handle 2 at a time.

Otherwise, enjoy the anticipation of being in a video for about 5 seconds!
