I could probably make it out there sometime this week after work, I get home around 6:30pm, at the trail by 7pm. That should be enough time to go up it and back down it again. The other side that we used to go up has been leveled and cleared for houses.
That baja bug in the pic made it down, barely. It scraped about 10' of the trail on its belly with the rear right and front left tire hangin in the wind.
All that only took about 20min, for him to get down. Let me know what day you're thinking of and I'll try to get there.

We'll have to take some more then, cause we only got 3 pics yesterday. After guiding the bug down, I just wanted to get out of there, it was really hot.

Ok, so we decided to do a spur of the moment 1hr-trail that is close to our house, just MarcP and I. This trail basically changes everytime I'm on it, the other day no problem, today-well there were problems...

So after I make several attempts,we get by that, and there is a very deep rut we must drop into, because it's to unstable to straddle. I made it with some slight scrapage and .5" clearance on driver side going up. Marc wasn't so lucky. He started to lose traction, and his rear end rotated him so that his driver side bumper, light, and fender were all pointed at the side of the wall. So now there is no more backing up for him! Unfortunately going forward was out as well due to no traction to be had on the loose climb out of the rut.
starting to spin-

What he was now positioned to back into-

We got him out of there and I had some time to pose the new bumper in front of an audience. Plus there are new scrapes on the bottom right corner that I can call my own

That sucked!! I havent been stuck like that in a loooong time. We need to do some trail maintenance up there so we can enjoy it instead of fearing it.

Camburg made it for Dave's FearToy. His truck is no more so I had to keep a piece of it in service in San Diego. The rest of it went mostly to NorCal.
