San Diego desert trip in November!!
Desert season is rapidly approaching, so I want to put some dates on the calender.
I am not too into the Ocotillo area, but I do want to hit up Superstitions and Truckhaven again.
Not sure what weekend yet. The first weekend is my B-day, so I am sure that one is out.

So basically that leaves the 12 & 13th or 19 & 20th since the last weekend is thanksgiving.
Superstition sounds good to me as well. I love the mix of tight rocky trails and then the dunes.

Dude, I better have my truck back by then.....hahahaha
I'm itching to hit a run with you guys again, if it's on a weekend (which it always is) and I have my truck back (Which I never do)....I'm totally in.
Are we really talking about as far back as November? What happened to September and October???

Too hot for the desert--I am up for a day run to Corral Canyon or Carveacre though.
Over the next couple weeks I will be doing some serious PM to my truck getting ready for desert season.

Mine can't get enough either. And absolutely demands it for desert season.

I'd be down for either... however, having a 4x2, will be a tad harder to hang with you guys at the rockier trails. I will try to make the Pismo run though... at least for the day. Depends how the wife and the baby are doing! But I have the green light to take off for the day if everything is cool with them.
Are there any mellow, non-rocky trails near the superstition area? I would like to go and have a few buddies who would be interested also, but we all have 4x2's.

I would be up for the trip as well! I recently got my gears and locker installed, but I am still 2wd!
I still have some work to do on my truck, maitnence items and some recovery items like shackle hangers with warn shackles and a snatch strap.

I also see TTORA is doing some runs the same weekend..

Maybe we should roll with them again. They have runs for the prerunners and are going to tackle Pinion Mountain. I want to try that one again.

I'm really itching to get back out and do some tough trails. Superstition would be awesome. I think the desert temeratures are going down a bit, at least its not insanly hot anymore.
Mark mentioned doing a day run to Corrall Canyon, I'd be up for that any time.
