i won't be able to make it this weekend. my truck is all packed full of wood and everything else i could fit, and i was planning on leaving around noon today. just got back from school and talked to one of my teachers...i have a huge test in my saturday class, my teacher won't let me take it early or make it up. said that because it is a short-term class (8 hours every sat), missing one day is like missing tree weeks, combined with a "zero" on this test would make leave me with no possible way to pass the class. i even thought about just dropping the class and retaking it next semester, but i need to finish it now in order to transfer to sdsu in the spring.
i wanted to do this trip as much as anyone, and i really pissed off and disapointed. maybe if you all have as much fun as last time you will be willing to plan another trip that i will make.
have fun up there!

Okay I have some bad news. I will not be able to make this trip after all. Work is making me go in on Saturday so I know I definitely will miss this trip
I really wanted to go as I already missed the last one that was great!
Sorry guys
I will make it up by trying to make the Anza Borrego trip in October (?).

Well I'm still in!!
Just hit up a local construction site and loaded the back of the truck FULL of wood, so we are going to have a blazing fire!!
I should be there around 1-2pm Fri. Are we meeting up at the same spot?
Scott, sorry to hear you can't make it this time. Sucks, cause I was looking forward to checking out the new blower and your light setup, maybe next time.
Eric are you still in? Who is gonna be there first to setup a spot now that Scott can't make it?

I will be there around 10am or so on Saturday.
BTW... all you need to start a good fire is a little "Boy Scout Water." By that I mean Charcoal Lighter Fluid. You can almost burn rocks with that stuff... Does anyone have any form of on board air just in case, or should I bring the hand pump?

funny story: i was driving home twds the freeway when i see a sweet ass black taco w/ a can back, roof rack and some overhead lights. i said to myself...hmmm looks familiar...and just drove on.
guess what? it was eric and wendy! they were pulling out of REI (i guess eric was stocking up!) and they pulled up next to me. his taco looks hella sweet!
