In my many calls down there, I've always been told that you can not make group reservations. Each person has to make their own.

I am going to make reservations for myself. It is still up in the air for me though. Dana had a hard time with the sand blowing all around and if I can coax her there we will go.

So what do I need to do to ensure that I can stay? I read something about rsvp at the beach? huh? who do I call? someone give me the 411 as I know I sure don't have the time to dig around and finding numbers n stuff...

Thanks in advance ofcourse!

Lance,

you can make a reservation at www.reserveamerica.com

Select Oceano Dunes.

I think the phone number is in one of the other pismo threads.

the number is: 800-444-PARK (7275)

lance, i have used reserve america for many other state parks, so i assume that pismo works the same way. you call up, make the reservation, and you pay with your credit card. that way when you check in at the park, you just give them your name, and you don't need to pay again, since you already did that when you made the reservations. i am going to make mine today.

jason,
it doesn't cost anything to make reservations. the only difference is that you pay for the passes when you make the resv's, instead of paying when you arrive at the park.

Scott's right, if you're sure you're going then there's no reason not to make the reservation.

During the last trip it cost $6.00 to camp, I paid at the kiosk. This time it is $13.50, the difference is $7.50 for a reservation fee. It does cost more to make the reservation. But, there is also the peace of mind that you will have a slot when you get there.

What, no one likes my shuttle rides?!?!? Seriously, get the reservation. I'm not convinced that all the school-aged folks will be in school in mid-September.
