then you're on the SoCal team.

everyone in nor cal says "hella" all the time. at least the bay area. yuba city too for sure. so i'm just gonna assume all them northerners do it.

I say hella a lot, and I am a SoCal native. I think I got it from South Park though.

To find us, use your cb and/or FRS radio Also it won't take long to find 20+ yota's bunched together

Also as it gets close to the event date, they'll be plenty of caravans forming so watch for those too!

Btw, i'm a socal native and I say "hella" all the time.... dang I must be corrupted or something...

If you want to know whether you are socal or norcal there is a very simple test. Just answer the question, "What freeway will you take to get to Pismo?"

If you answered: "I'll take 101" then you are from norcal.

If you answered: "I'll take THE 101" then you are from socal. (Why you would put "THE" in front of a proper name is beyond me.)

well, europeans usually put an article in front of their nouns (e.g. ich spreche die Deutsch = literally translated "i speak the German"), socal-ers say THE 101...so are we to think those of the southern persuasion are foreigners?

it just sounds weird to leave out the "the".

i'll take 101. 101 what? put in "the" and it's just oh so clear. we're right, so cal is the expert in freeways. why do you guys in the north put an 80 in every freeway?

nice observation tho.

and as for directions.... just get on the 101 and exit grand ave, go down till you hit the last street before the enterance (its highway 1) make a left. go down that and make a right on pier st, enter and take sand highway all the way down, once you get to the gate that goes really close to the water (you cant miss it, you'll run into it) go left (duh) and follow the gate around, thats where we normally camp.

those of you coming from so cali (orange county, san diego, southern part of LA county) you can take the 154 as a scenic route. its about 10 miles shorter than taking the 101 (ya, i said THE) straight through, but its about the same time length because the speeds arent as high. its a nice drive though

Ok, looks like we have to set up a So Cal/No Cal beach volleyball game. Central Californians officiate and bring beer. J/k. We may have to divide the state in half and make some rules (i.e. eligibility, format, etc).

Anyone have a net and some beach volleyballs?

Bob

Didn't even ask, you think I'll have any trouble with my 2wd?
