Guys,

As an added bonus and as my duty as the "Maintenance" moderator, I'll be bringing my Auterra ODB II sensor for FREE readings!

...and BruceTS will do all maintenance work related to error codes. And if you don't believe in his skills, you should've seen him tear his engine apart at the last Hungry Valley trip

Bob

Everything from cashews, giant killer rabbits, and baby seals. We even ran into some Toyota topics, go figger!

Thanks for the info and generosity, guys! Well, not the part about the jammies and junk, but anyway....

You talked me into staying on the beach to shoot the breeze with you. So Robinhood - since you offered first, please bring your extra tent and sleeping bag. I guess that'll be the plan. I have a couple cell phone numbers plus I'll bring my FRS. My work schedule is looking good but I'll still have to work that day so I'll arrive in Pismo Friday evening.

When I walk onto the beach, will I need to purchase any sort of pass, or just give 'em a smile as I walk through?

tracy if you do come out to join us and need a lift, just give us a hoot! if ya fly into Ontario (ONT) then I'll be able to pick ya up since it's sort of near my work.

OFcourse you can drive out here and then drop by one of our toyota dealerships to get a "real" tuneup!

Jeff, will do. As far as I know you don't have to pay unless you bring a vehicle in, but then again I've never tried to walk in.

I'd suggest you give one of us a call when you're about 30 minutes away so that we can pick you up. FRS may or may not work from the entrance, it also depends on where we are when you come in.

Be sure to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, ear plugs and a windbreaker. During the day it'll be pretty nice, a little on the warm side. During the afternoon/evening it gets windy and colder, but the wind dies down at night.

I'm a true believer, I saw him take his engine apart in seconds.

Bob, how many bundles of wood should I bring?

Biff,

One bundle is fine. If you can bring more, bring more. The more wood, the better

Just browsing through and I see this great trip planned for next week!!! Sounds like fun--is it to late to jump aboard? What's the reservation policy, is it through yotatech or pismo? And last question --guys only or does the wife get to come?

Guys,

Ah, I knew this would come up again. My bad. Ok, here's the deal:

Call (800) 444-7275

Just say you want reservations for beach camping south of Pier 2. Also, you can reserve up to 10 spots (vehicles) per phone call. I'm going to purchase 2 tickets just in case.

Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area
Reservations: (800) 444-7275

What's confusing is that stupid Reserve America books the few (very few) assigned camping spots which are located *behind* the dunes. They are on the same beach, but they have little fire rings and tables. Dude, we don't need no stinkin' fire rings and tables!!! Anyways, I searched for availability on July 9-11, 2004 for the heck of it and it says its all booked up---which is the reason why some of you might be confused.

Cleared up now? Ok, THEN BOOK YOUR TICKET NOW!!!

Bob

edit: i removed the address above b/c it is not the actual campground but the administrative office of ODSRVA
