if it's anything like last year, on saturday people just kinda get up whenever (most up by 9:30) and just head out in small groups go have some fun on the dunes. if there's gonna be a run with everyone, it'd probably be in the afternoon. nothing is really planned tho, so who knows.

i don't remmeber any motels right next to the SVRA, but if there are chances are they're booked. plus, it's a big area, and you'd be walking quite a ways through the camping areas just to get to the wheeling part/us (last year camp yotatech was at the end of the beach).

just take some phone numbers down from the site (to be posted in the next couple days really) and give one of us a call. if you're in pismo beach, i'd, or anyone else would, be happy to swing by in town to pick you up and bring you in for the fun.

There is a parking lot by the entrance to the dunes where people can park to walk onto the beach. If you are going to walk to the group then make sure you park at the second entrance (the farthest south) otherwise it will be a very long walk. There is also overnight street parking on that street for people who have vehicles they don't want to take onto the sand. The FRS thing is probably a good idea since you should be within range from the parking lot at the entrance.

Jeff, that'd be awesome if you could make it. Hotels in the area aren't going to be too cheap being that pismo is a tourist town, but I'll see what my AAA book suggests. Alternatively, I'd be glad to bring my extra camping stuff down if you'd like to camp. I have an extra tent, sleeping bag etc.

You can walk, but you don't want to, it's too far and your calf muscles will be killing you. Like charles said, give one of us a call when you get into town and we'll come pick you up. If we don't answer be sure to leave a message as sometimes cell phones don't work all the time there. The voice message eventually gets through, though.

Hey Jeff,

Don't stay at a motel. I have extra camping gear (tent, sleeping bags, etc). I can bring a set for you. Hotel's a waste when the fun is just "hanging out" by the fire and shootin' the breeze.

Just let me know and I'll do it.

Bob

4route's coming out to this? kctopher is coming out to this. wow, we californians know how to throw a trail run

anyway... some communications info

CB: channel 4
FRS: channel 4

i'll post this, and my cell, bob's cell, and steve's cell phone numbers up on the website. people will be rolling in throughout the day, but if you need some assistance, feel free to call us.

do we have a plan for where camp yotatech will be? maybe it'll just have to be determined once some people get there based on space availability. i liked last years spot at the end of the line, so that'd be cool if we get it again. i won't be able to leave on friday till mid afternoon, but i'll post up to date info on the site until then.

Chuck,

Yeah, I liked last year's spot too because up to that point, all those big damn annoying RVs are all parked north of where we camped last year.

So yes, let's camp in the same spot. Everyone ok with that?

Bob
