hey guys,
in case you didn't notice, chris (kctopher) the admin/co-founder of YT is flying all the way out from KC, MO to CA for this trip.
i'll be picking him up from burbank airport around noon, stopping for lunch on the way, and then heading to pismo. we should probably be there around 5pm-ish.

Victor / Peter:
I'm expecting to leave work out here in Corona (damn 909... I Know... hehe) around 6-630pm (earliest). Figure I'd be around your area (Victor) around 7-730ish (earliest).
If you guys want to meet up somewhere and all just caravan up, that definitely would be a cool thing to do. Lets see who else is driving up around that time to see where we can setup a good meeting point.
Brad:
I hope that we'll hit some trails up there too

The only trail that I know of that's worth the drive is big falls. The problem is that it's a short, small trail so large groups aren't advised. Also, the last half of the trail is often overgrown so pinstriping is guaranteed.
Pozo has some trails, but it's about an hour to the trailhead and I don't think the few obstacles that are on it are worth the drive.

Lance:
I'm actually thinking of leaving around 10 - 11 and seeing how far I get before I hit some major traffic.
Anyone else planning on getting to Pismo before the sun dips too low?

Victor/Peter/Good Times,
I will be heading around 7:00pm. I will be meeting my buddy over in San Gabriel before heading up. We can probably meet at the IHOP on Rosemead Ave (near the 10Fwy). I think that's closed to Biff also.
We can caravan up together!!!!
Biff,
Are you bringing your 4runner or LC?

Me too - actually, I have the same one as Darx and I have YET to finish going through the manual. By the time I get to the end, I'll probably have to go back to the beginning to review all the stuff I forgot... :pat:

Ok, so about the trail runs in the local mountains...
For this year's event we're not going to have any official organized trail runs to big falls or pozo. Personally, we don't want to deal with the logistics of it since organizing the pismo trip is hard enough as it is. Also, last year the trails at Pozo were graded and made into nothing more than dirt roads. We haven't had a chance to run those trails this year so we don't know if they've gotten any better (or is that worse?)
However, you guys are welcome to go by yourselves. I know several people attending this year have been to big falls before so maybe they could lead a trip out there. I do recommend keeping the number of rigs down to no more than 5 at a time because of the tight trail.
