OH run & organizational meeting - Feb 18

Let's all get together and 'wheel, then discuss our progress to making OH-TTORA reality! This will be a stock-friendly trail ride so we can all get to know each other. Side trips (like Sturgis) will be available for those with a desire for body damage LOL

Meet Saturday Feb 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the rest stop on OH7 south of Wellsville. About 2hr south of Cleveland, 1 hr south of Akron/Canton, 45 min west of Pittsburgh, 2 hr east of Columbus.

We will be on CB channel 7.

We'll aim to get out of the woods by 4:00. If you don't want to/can't 'wheel, meet us at Roadhouse in Wellsville for dinner and a "chapter meeting" about 4:30. We should have our website well underway by then, and I'll have a draft of some flyers for us to work with.

I look forward to meeting you all!

The 18th is out of the question for me Troy, but the 25th may work.

Maybe the dinner could be in the Canton area? Its on the way home for pretty much everyone and there are a lot better places to eat (cost less too). Just an idea.

OK - as near as I can tell the list is as follows:

Probably:
SuperPoser (TTORA)
99TanTaco (TTORA)
tc
AquaG (TTORA)

Maybe:
DanF (TTORA)
Cebby (yotatech)
89macrunner/brandontrek (yotatech)

I think most everyone is pretty much stock - minor mods.

Everyone be sure to bring warm/waterproof clothes, it is supposed to be quite cold (mid 20's). If anyone has chains, it might be a good idea to bring them in case we run into some ice. Of course, recovery equipment (tow points f/r and a strap) is required for each vehicle, and an "off road suitable" spare - if you are locked, it needs to be the same size as your other tires (of course, if you're locked, you probably know that!)

See ya Saturday!

Is the stock spare "off road suitable" (meaning good tread, holds air, etc)?

Fix-a-flat doesn't do much for popped beads...

Welllll....the recovery:wheeling ratio was off a little on this one. Spent about an hour wheeling and 4 hrs doing recovery. When the guy with the winch gets stuck and needs to go the way the winch can't pull and you have to resort to winching by HiLift...it - well - takes a while!

Read all about it:

Woah! Sorry I had to miss the fun. I was enjoying the cold high on a WV mountain with my snowboard all weekend though.
