That's right.
This event will be held either in mid July, or in August, the dates are not final yet, and we can hash them out here.

I have been contacted by some who are out of state who would like to see what kind of wheeling we have up here in the Pacific Northwest.



The Greenwater area is in the foot hills of Mount Rainier, and unmistakable landmark here.
The area provides many opportunities for great wheeling.
Everything from nice logging roads, off the road side trails in the trees, to more harder off camber stuff such as the Naches trail.

If you can help out with the event also in any way such as trail guides, that would be great.
I'll let the above page explain some more of the details.

This will be an overnight camping type jamboree, and there are also accommodations in the alpine town of Greenwater.

Hot damn, that sounds like fun. Will there be trails that a stock truck can handle? Im not rich enough for too many mods yet, but my 90 Runner may have the lift by then...WooHoo!!

 

There are plenty of easy roads and trails to explore, DeathCouger. My '89 truck is completely stock, and I can go all over hell up there. Scenery is fantastic. You'll like it. The harder core rigs can find all they can handle, too. WATRD will ride point for them boys, I bet. He has a kick-ass ride for sure

I wish I could get upto WA for it. Maybe sometime when I don't have to be here for school.

 

Ah excellent. Hopefully my downey 4" lift will be in by then, with my 33" tyres and lockers..then ill be able to do a bit of wheelin. See ya'll there eh.

 

There's stuff out that way for EVERYONE. From paved FS roads, to gravel FS roads, to mild trails, to the Naches to Funny Rocks and Moon Rocks.

Within striking distance of where Corey is talking about being are some of Washington's most striking views, some accessible in two-wheel drive and no risk of pinstriping all the way to some of the Northest's most difficult Class 5 trails.

I am looking to break my personal record of doing the Naches Pass Trail eight times last season, so I will be going through there at least once that weekend.

I have offered my services to Corey to use in any way he sees fit, well, not ANY way, but I am game for leading a run or two at whatever ability level I can be most useful at.

Corey, once you get the dates ironed out, this might be a good time to do a quick version of my Trail 101 class, if you are so inclined.

I can help with setup, or anything u need. Also, i will be glad to post things at my Wrecking yard. Is it something you need sponsers on? I may be able to get my boss to sponser things. I dontknow, i haen;t even talked to him, but ya never know.

Just want to comment on nix99.com. I like how you have a breakdown of each part that is available off the vehicle, and with prices. Pics of the vehicles are a plus as well. I haven't seen too many wrecking yards that do that.
In the past I've e-mailed requesting a part and got a response under an hour. Very cool.

 

Corey count me in for a run or two. Mike Regal we need to talk about the roof rack.

 

Hmmmm.... Mapquest says its 816.44 miles from San Fran to Greenwater. Very tempting, since I've never been to that part of the country.

Rob, excellent idea on the wheeling 101 class, might help some newer wheelers gain the confidence to try Naches.

Corey, there's a pretty good chance that you'll see the faithwheelers there. We're working on our July 4th Obstacle Course event and then a Mountaintop Worship trip in mid to late August. This trip will also be across the Naches Trail.

Will you keep me in touch with any information about snags that you run into, such as problems with the DNR or whatever. We're hoping for 500 people so any information I get can be helpful.

That is why I posted this early so we could work on it.

We have had "mini" jams up there in the past, and they have been a lot of fun.

We have the trails up here for sure on both sides of the pass that be challenging for quite a few levels.

 

Pencil me in. Summer vacation time is pretty much all spoken for and there is no date set for the Colorado thing yet. That kinda takes priority. If its not during the CO4RJ or a holiday weekend I can probably make it.
