Is it a group permit or a single vehicle permit? If we need to reserve a permit individually then I want to make this official so we can get on that.

Yeah thats cool, when you talk to them find out how many they have left, explain that you are the president of a club etc so that they get the idea that we may need more than 3.
Lee, if you get a permit now I will ride along and we can go check it out this weekend, see if it is as cool as it sounds, then come back to report to the group. Like I said, lets figure out some details and make this official.

Aaaahhhhh the beach.

If you guys want to run the beach the Cape is a great place to do it! While I have never driven the area that you've specified (Race Point/Truro), I know that it's some spectacular scenery out there. And only $30 for a 7-day pass is cheap. I have a resident pass to Nauset(Orleans) and it's quite a nice place to go and chill out, bbq, fish, , etc... It's pretty flat and there are strict rules to follow while driving on the beach, so it's by no means a real 'off-roading' trip. But a hell of a time can be had just cruising the beach and finding a good spot to park. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Well, if you want to run the beach I think that Race Point is your best bet. Since they sell weekly permits, it's by far the cheapest spot around and the beach is long enough to find a space to park. By comparison, Nauset Beach only sells yearly stickers for $180 and Sandy Neck sells yearly stickers for $120 + $4/day. A few things to take into consideration are (and you might want to ask about these when you call), the condition of the beach (the last few storms we got did a number on the beaches here erosion-wise), and if the park service is currently planning to close portions of the beach due to piping plover nesting. These two things limit the number of vehicles allowed on the beach at one time. And that's another thing. If you do want to run the beach, get there early, I mean like 9 or 10am or you won't get on until 3pm.

If you want to do some trails or something like that, there's really not a lot of(legal) "off-roading" spots around here short of a few dirt roads. That's why I drove the 2+ hours to Ashburnham to meet up the the TTORA guys. There are a few spots, in the off-season there are lots of dirt roads to explore. But in the summertime with all of the out-of-towners at their summer houses, it might be a bad idea. If it were two or three trucks that's one thing but to have a caravan of trucks driving around, that's trouble. I mean we could do it, but... There's just not alot of space around here.

hey guys. i just got home from the trails after work. i didn't go to the boss' house though. too far. anyhow, one that i was hoping was going to be good was nothing but a dirt road. the second however...the one i looked at last week, was awesome! some decent rocks and roots to deal with, some mud pits and rutts, and a few cut-offs that i did not explore. i went in to a mud pit/turn around that brings you back up to the halfway point of the trail, but rocks and mud that i was not willing to attempt alone. i was going to attempt to go through one of the pits to do a circle, but got one tire in it, and sank like 5 inches, so needless to say...i stopped there, and cirlced back around. at the entrance, there was a splite in the path. the wider one that i did, and a narrrow one. the narrow one says it is smoother, but i def. think not. halfway down it said water spots ahead, so i turned back around. where that mud pit i was just talking about meets with the half way point, there is a trail that goes up with the powerlines that are in the trail. looks like fun, and looks like it goes on for a long time. if anyone is up for it, i would be more than happy to bring you up and show you it. it is about an hour from waltham in goffstown, nh. i could meet you after work, or i can bring you up one saturday. i didn't complete either trail to it's fullest, and i didn't stop to play in the mud or explore the offshoots. i was pretty much crawling through in 4-lo, and i was there about an hour. i would say we could def. turn it into a 1.5-2 hour trail, and that is not knowing where the powerlines go. i took one picture on a rock formation, then the camera died. figures..no charge after the stupid wedding. i will take a pic of the runner now, after 66miles of highway driving. haha. nothing big, but considerring how dry it was, and that i didn't do any of the pits/puddles...you will get the idea.

a bit of a poser shot, but it was a better angle from the other side when the camera died. and then some shots of the lovely paint job provided my mother nature. once again, didn't play in the puddles, this is just from the trails.
