It would appear that trucks are not allowed on any of them...

yea, that site seems to indicate that its illegal for us to use those trails...

how about some beach driving?
http://www.nps.gov/caco/activities/oversand/route.html

i doubt it will be all that challenging but it could be fun

we will need to pay for permits though
http://www.nps.gov/caco/activities/o...rmit_fees.html

minimum of $30 for a week permit.

That looks like it could be a great time, I wonder if we could make it a two day deal, camp out one night, ride again the next day. It seems like it could be a lot of fun. I am definitely interested and I already have all of the required equipment although I would like to get the tools to reseat a tire if I blew a bead...

if you look at the second to last one, i believe we could fall under the atv usage. only the bottom one states that we can not use it. also, i am was able to see the book that the fedex driver was explaining to me. i will pick it up soon, as it has all the class-6 roads for all of southern new hampshire, as well as paved roads.

It is definitely a good find, but keep in mind that class 6 doesn't mean stockable, class 6 roads can get pretty nasty, it is still a class 6 even when you need 4 inches of lift, sliders, and a locker.

it might be a good idea for you to check with the NH parks service, brian.

I'll look more into the beach run too, we can do both in the coming weeks.

i want to make sure there are still beach permits available too.. they claim they only give out 3000 per year.

i will also be contacting some of these people to see if the trails are good for our trucks, the length of the trails, maps, and directions.

i am a little concerned about the beach. i don't know how i feel about all that sand in all the joints and what not. i will think about that one. we can also think about making a trip to truro down on the cape. many many trails down there! does anyone have contact for the guy with the sr5 runner that was the same color as pats on the first run with heath? he was from the cape, right?

That is correct, Cape Yota I believe. At least on the beach the sand is loose and dry floating through the air at your joints, not being forced in with a whole bunch of muddy water, I think the beach is probably safer than muddy trails...
I sent Cape Yota a PM.

I'm going on vacation in the cape for a week July 9th - 16th I don't think I'll have time on the 9th because we'll be settling into the rental house but I'd love to do this any other time during that week.

sure I'll investigate it... I'll send a note out to NH members.

Keep us informed on what you find with that class 6 road.

the way things are shaping up, if we do a beach run, it may carry over to the 10th
