I have never kayaked from San Felipe but I imagine it would be pretty good if the wind is minimal, and the tide is in. When the tide goes out, you will have a loooong walk to get to the water The area around San Felipe is pretty much silt bed from the Colorado river delta, so the coastal beaches are fairly shallow with a sand bottom around there. The great thing about kayaking on the Cortez coast is that it is often very calm water.

Toyoda - you are venturing into a mecca of sorts... for the whitefenders! Have a great time! Maybe you will come back with some white fenders?
