Hey Corey! Fall Colors?

Hey Corey! are you hosting your annual "Fall Colors" run this year? Got any dates in the works? I want to arrange some other things so I can make it this year.

Not me Rob, not this year, unless I can hitch a ride with someone else and just take pics & vids.

My rig is not trail worthy this year, it needs an awful lot of work done to it before it ever sees dirt again.
Perhaps after I get back with Boeing.

It would be nice to get something going though, as the colors will be a changin' up there late September.

Bummer! It's the end of an era

I will organize it and put the RSVP up on the WATTORA site with three conditions;
  1. You choose the date.
  2. You choose where we are going.
  3. You take my passenger seat.

FS 70/72 might be fun, or 74/75 including Lonesome lake.

Ha ha, another funny one from ya Rob

Well lets see...
Lemme call up my crystal ball here

I see it was on Saturday the 27th of September last year.
And as usual, Todd missed it, his wife had him doing errands
Todd, ya gotta tell Sandy you are going this time.

Lets plan it for around the same time on a Saturday, maybe the 18th or the 25th?

[off topic] Doink, I am working a very crappy, and I do mean crappy job right now by SeaTac airport.
The work is OK, but the pay is lousy, and I DO mean lousy.
Yeah, Bush stimulated the economy a tad, but most of the jobs that opened up in the state of Washington are very low pay.

We are still recovering from post 911.
WA. state was one of the 3 hardest hit states in the US after 911 for job cuts.

Needless to say, I do not have the funds to keep the rig in tip top shape like I use to.

Hopefully I will be back to Boeing before next spring, and I can sink a few grand into getting the rig back to where it use to be.

Needed:
Complete Amsoil change out on the following:
1. front & rear diffs
2. auto transmission flushed and refilled
3. transfer case
and more...
4. front brakes are shot, squealing all the time, fluid needs flushed
5. Coolant needs changing
6. power steering pump is leaking, Toyota says a flush may cure it with the additive they put back in to soften the seals
7. wheels need balancing
8. front end alignment

The rotors may be OK, I do not know.
I may pick up some of the infamous AutoZone pads I keep reading about, and Todd and I will change them out, at least the squealing will stop for awhile.

All of the above is major $$$, especially with the Amsoil which I have currently in there now. [/off topic ended]

Anyways, back on topic.
A fall run would be fun, and I'm sure we would see some snow too.
I have not been up exploring the 74 area in ages, and I do not think I have been to Lonesome lake.
That sounds like fun.

Rob, I would be honored to ride shotgun with you.
I gotta hear that bagpipe music in person, the videos just do not do it justice.
Oh, and I gotta check out your satellite radio too, as I may get that once I am back to Boeing.
I get tired of all the commercials on FM, and also tired of the same CDs over and over again.

Okay then, here's the plan.

YotaTech/WATTORA Fall Colors Run 09/18/2004
Target Area: FS 74/75 including Haller Pass and Lonesome Lake
Corey has my right seat (I will get a mail thread started to discuss the where and when)

I will have an RSVP up on the WATTORA site tonight. I will link that RSVP from this thread and I will start a new thread with the announcement and details and we can leave this one as a link to the history of the planning.

Work for everyone? If so, I will see you in the new thread and on the RSVP list.

This is off topic but at the same time really cool.

There needs to be a run throughout yotatech on the 18th of september. The boys of oklahoma have already planned a trip on the 18, and now you guys. Lets get everyone to plan trips on the 18th! wouldnt that be the stuff right there.

So I should like make a sticky or something about everyone doing an 18th of september run? that would be neat to have everyone posting about their trip on the 18th.

Screw the 18th, make it the 11th.

Yep. In videos where you see me crawling through a rock pile or going up a hill climb, more often than not, you will hear bagpipe music pouring out of my truck. I don't know why I picked up the habit, but it just seems to set the mood.

They make fun of me for it to, so I tell them that they have three choices, I can continue with the bagpipes, I can put it back to the country CD I was listening to before that or they can get back into their own rigs and listen to the Britney Spears tape THEY were listening to...
