Greenwater Fall Colors Run Sept 27th!

Okay it looks as if the date has been set. I hope some of you can make it out so I can finally meet all of you! The meeting place is the Safeway in Enumclaw on Highway 410 at 9am. I'll be in the area on Friday the 26th if anyone wants to hook up for dinner or something. Woohoo I can't wait to be reunited with my Runner and finally be in some the awesome shots I've seen from that area!!

I might make it just long enough to welcome you to the neighborhood, but I have a previous engagement that afternoon so I can't stick around long

Still got a couple of weeks to go, so I imagine some folks are waiting to see what the weather is going to be like. I don't like dust, but driving around inside a cloud isn't so hot either.

I'd like to get out if possible, although I'll have to see how things go.

Have you guys thought more about just where you're going? One time Corey mentioned going from Greenwater to Cle Elum. I'd like to do that, but when I was out that way earlier this year, one of roads that I thought was a possibility had a sign saying it was closed due to Plum Creek Timber logging. I don't know for sure if that was even the right road because I think it would come out West of Easton instead of Cle Elum.

Alan, I think that road that a bunch of us were on summer of '02 dumps you out by Stampede pass.
It looked to be a very well maintained gravel road.

We drove on it for about a mile before heading back.

Not sure how long the guy's wanna stay out, but I get tired after 1 PM or so being a morning person, and am pretty much ready to head back shortly after that.
So I'd imagine some will stay up a lot longer than me.

Don't have the energy I use to many moons ago

The day is barely getting started at 1:00 PM. Being a confirmed "night person", I wheel into the dark.

But try to get me out of bed before 9:00 AM... go ahead and try...

THAT is a crime against nature... I am happiest when I get up at the stroke of 10:00 AM and go to bed in the early AM.

Aren't you up past your bed time?

ROOKIES! All of ya'! (though Corey, you're pretty close to my sleep habits).

I run on 3-4 hours of sleep a day. The alarm goes off at 5:53am, and I'm usually in bed around 2am. I've been working like this for about 10-12 years now. I will often sneak in a 20 minute power nap around 6pm, but that's it.

Anyway, to stay on topic...! Right now I'll be there. The only "issue" at hand is that the Oyster Run (a biker gathering in Anacortes) is the 28th and I'd like to be there for it this year.

But... given that it's the next day... PARTY ON MAN!

Do you guys know where you're going to go? I'm trying to decide between this and the WATTORA run that day...

As stated in an earlier thread (there are to many of these now) it's just going to be an easy run from FS road 72, up over it's pass, and down into the 70 area.

May explore a few side areas.
I also have commitments for Saturday night, so I can't stay up there very late into the day.

Okay... I'm a bit lost on which runs are when, but!

Outside of me saying that my alarm goes off at 5:53 in the morning, I'm thinking that given this is a Saturday, and we're talking about being in Enumclaw by 9am - on a Saturday - then... yikes.

Sorry Joey... I dunno that I'm going to make it.

What???

Where???

Who???

I'm Vinny Babarino....

My bad, in my eternal problem with keeping dates straight, I may have added to the confusion.

This Saturday, the 20th = WATTORA Dunes Run

Next Saturday, the 27th = Fall Colors Run

Right?
