Hey Corey,
What are the odds that you can be at a particular place between 9:00 and 10:00 where I could hook up with you?
I am going out there that day and it would be nice to hook up with you, but with my schedule, there is no way I can make 8:00 happen.
I have a good, loud CB so if I know what channel you are on, you will hear me coming...
Anyone else want to hook up with me to find the rest of them?

Hi Rob, we always run channel 4 up there.
I'd imagine we will be pulling out of Safeway hopefully no later than 8:20 or so.
That will put us up there at 70 around 8:50.
Not sure where we are going to be yet, but we will all have the CBs on.

Okay, I will head up 70 first and if I find you, then great... if not, I am going to fall back and spend some quality time on 72.
I will also run channel 4 on the CB, so yell for me once in a while.

So you haven't decided on the destination yet?
If that is the case, I might just head for 72 directly... I don't want to air down, then cruise 70 looking for you only to have to make a low-speed, aired down cruise all the way back to 410 to drive down to 72
I thought you were itching to do the Naches as far as Government meadows?
Oh well. I'll head for 72 and either I'll see you or I won't.

I have to see what the others want to try, and hopefully they will chime in here.
I would like to have a game plan before we head up.
I am still not sure what part of the Naches is safe to go on with 0% body damage.
It's been 2 years since I have done it.
I do know that TooEZgoin wants to try that really steep hill that is on the exit off of 70 on the left.

Well, there is no such thing as a zero chance of body damage on the Naches, even in the dry of Summer. But your odds largely depend upon your skill, equipment and the conditions. I have seen newbies misjudge a turn and drag on a tree in the driest conditions and I have seen more experienced folks go through in two-feet of mud and not get a scratch. On the flip side, I have seen newbies navigate it without a scratch and accomplished wheelers fall off the bridges.
With that said, the stretch from 70 to the cabin is as tame as it gets. There's little chance for pin striping and with a modicum of due care and caution the odds of surviving the experience are pretty good
I'll keep my eyes open to see if the details lock down, but I will plan to be on my own that day since I don't want to spend my wheeling time guessing at where you are
I lean toward some quality time on 72... there's a TON of roads up there that I have only gotten a taste of...

Heck, we might just do 72 then.
I know a lot that are coming up have $30K plus rigs, and don't want any body damage.
We might have to explore 72 more too.
I am not to familiar with it.

Hey Rob and Corey,
Either FS road is fine with me. The first part of Naches to Green meadows was fun but who knows what the condition is since the temp drop. We might encounter snow and ice. he he
FS 72 has alot of road to cover and wouldn't be such a bad option for those who have never trail ridden. There are some cool look out spots and hill climbs that Rob showed us.
Corey. One suggestion is to check with everyone Saturday morning at Safeway to see what skill level or how much experience they have.
Rob. Do you know if Gene is joining us or not? Oh, and I'll bring your MSD Vibration mounts with me.
Hope to catch up with ya.

Hi Mike. I think Naches will be too icy, especaily with the cold front we have had the past few days.
72 has a lot to offer, plus the gravel pit is a lot of fun.
That's where Jim & I drove the white '85 rig up the hill.
You can hear me hooping for joy here.
http://www.pnw4runners.net/runs/91402/10.mpg
Last trip we did was on 72.

I think it would be fun to explore it more. Maybe even go to the lake again.

72 is further down, almost across the street from 73 (Suntop) and it has even more miles of FS road. 72 was kind of boring from a run standpoint, not much excpet FS roads, but it sounds like what Corey is looking for...I have no idea on Gene... he's been aweful quiet these days... heheh I will look forward to getting the mounts from you.

With the holidays coming up I'll be pretty booked up on travel plans and such. I hope to get some trail time in before family mode kicks in.

Just an update here
The forecast for Saturday is rain, and lots of it.
Is everyone comfortable with this date still, or would some feel better rescheduling it for another Saturday?
Just checking...

Scott and I were planning on getting to Enumclaw at 9:00. We both have kids that we're bringing with us so 8:00 is a little early to hit Enumclaw.
Anyone want to go a little later and meet us there? I'm sure that given the size of your group, and the typical tardiness of starting off on these trips, that we'll be arriving right about the time the first group is leaving anyway.
Neither Scott nor I have run this trail before, so someone giving directions would really be helpful.
Let us know!
P.S. The ARB will be completed in the morning. Awesome. ARB front and rear now.

OK, lets make it 9 am. I realize not all are early risers
I am still use to Boeing time. When I was on day shift, I got up at 2 am every day, and getting up and going early is natural for me.
