Let's play in the snow!
..WINTER STORM WARNING ABOVE 4500 FEET TONIGHT AND SATURDAY
Here's the latest from NOAA. Perhaps Naches may or may not work. Let's try to find some snow. Trail about 4500 feet are a must. They're only talking about 3-6" total accumulations, which should bother anyone, but it'll be a blast for the kiddies and make the hill climbs and side hills a little more fun.
Get those tires aired down :o)
Ijust got the front ARB wired and plumbed. It's not pretty since I don't have time to do a nice install on the switch, but it works.

74/75 has Haller Pass, Lonesome Lake and a few other attractions. FS410 off of FS7530 has an entertaining hill climb that gets you pretty twisted up, suspension wise and winds up as high as I have ever found in Greenwater. There is also a hill climb that I have only seen done in August when it's good and dry, otherwise it's loose sandy stuff that moves like quicksand and leaves you looking foolish
I suspect we will have nothing along that can do it in 1/4" of snow or for that matter, wet.
When all is said and done, I would lean toward doing FS72. It has lots of lower altitude stuff if we encounter a blizzard, but we can still get up into what should be the snow range for the kiddies
Perhaps we have the Naches and 74/75 as a fall back. The Naches if we get up there and the sun is shining and the birds are chirping and 74/75 if 72 requires the agility of a snowmobile to navigate it
74/75 is considerably lower than most of 72, 3500 ft or so...

OK, that sounds like a challenge, or a good chance to get the winch out! Are you telling me that with your 9" of lift, lockers and meats, that you can't make that hilll???
Just eggin' ya on :o)

Somehow I KNEW YOU would rise to the ocasion on that troll...
heheheh
This one is interesting. It's one of those that looks easy when you stand and look up it, but it has a very high seat suction factor when you go to drive up it. It leans badly to the left and is comprised of some quick-sandy stuff.
I am betting none of us elect to try
(Of course, there is the turning around at the top so you can come back down that I am leaving out of the story... hehehe)

That sound like a "leave the wife and kids at the bottom so youdon't scare the crap out of them" hill climb.
I'm interested in testing this rig. I've not had a chance to wheel it hard since the major rebuild.
Other than our off-road course, and tahuya, I've only played around since I locked both end, and did the SAS. I ramped 870 on my last try (shooting for 1000). Last time out on a serious challenge I was running 33x12.50 swampers, LSD's front and rear, and IFS on the front.
Now with 37x12.50 MTRs dual ARBs and lots or articulation, I am really interested to see what this rig can do. Not to mention that I stand a few inches taller and wider that my last serioius run as well.
Let's go wheelin!!!!!

You know, another thing occurs to me... we might get to spend some quality time doing recoveries tomorrow. The first big snows ALWAYS catch some folks with their pants down. Not to mention that it's hunting season and an amazing number of people go up and in their enthusiasm, go further than they should...
Just a thought... limber up those tow straps
Nothing is better on a web page than your Toyota pulling out a (brand x).
Personally, I collect Land Rovers and Range Rovers. I recovered a couple of them last spring and a couple more the previous fall

Cool....Overcast in Auburn, but no rain
I am thinking 72 might be good since there's a lot of untapped side roads I have not seen up there.
If the snow gets bad on it, there are lots of places to turn around on it.
Lost my navigator. He woke up with a sore throat, and it's best he stays home and takes care of it.
