Money is another problem - or the lack thereof !
To many kids trying to be adults and not quite making it. My wife and I have 6 between us - 4 are between 18 and 21.
I feel like an ATM sometimes. They always ask me - I'm the easy one.

met up w/ rick, ernie/allison, and brett earlier today. from 1, we went up 4, had lunch at Fain's Ford, then continued up 4 and then headed out 6 back to 1. we had a good time. it started raining here at about 8pm last night and didn't stop until after 11 this morning. it was wet to say the least. we were going to run guardrail and helicopter pad but with the rain, we knew better than to even try. we played around alot at Fain's Ford on the ledges and got some good pics there.
we had a great time and it was nice to be in such a small group who enjoy wheeling. i'll get pics up on my webpage tomorrow and post a link here...

Just got back. It was a great trip. We did not take many pictures, it was all wheeling. Weird that Tellico was so dead, we only saw about 7 rigs through 2 days of wheeling. It has never been that dead. On Saturday we did Trail 5 to 4, then to 3, and up the backside of 11 (Guardrail), but couldn't make it all the way to the top, so we turned around and headed for Slickrock (I rode with Rick). Rick and Ernie both made Slickrock with very little trouble at all. The ledge at the top was way more washed out than back in the spring. Ernie tried it a few times, but with his little boy in the truck, decided on safety and winched up it. Rick was having no winch and after several full throttle assaults he made up. He then got hung up a little on another rock that is starting to be washed out just above the ledge. In the process of getting past that he blew the bead off the front passenger tire. We reaseated it no problem and headed down trail 8 and out trail 5 after dark. It was a great weekend!

1. Trail 3 is the "unknown trail" for a very good reason. Man that thing is boring.
2. You can do a lot more wheeling when you're not stopping every 50 ft. to take pics.
3. The back side of 11 should have it's own name.
4. Slickrock is my biznitch. (Even though she and Ernie had the last laugh)
5. Corner lights are overrated.
6. I had no business getting on the Tellico Cabins rock garden.
Brett... I had a great time this weekend! You make a great co-pilot, and endured the clunking and branches to the face like a champ. Slickrock is a fun ride ain't it?

Andy... man, I wish you could stuck around for Saturday and Slickrock. We'll have to be sure to hit it up next time. Glad you could make it out for Friday, though. All that's left of Fains Ford for us to do is the center section...

and number 7...
7. having sand in the bead from the last trip, then airin down will cause your tire to leak down to nothing...

so, you blew ANOTHER bead? lol...
yeah, i really wanted to tackle more. i wish i could have made the whole weekend, but at least i got to wheel Friday and still get alot done around the house over the weekend. i also got the battery swapped on the runner, got the fogs cleaned out
and got the backs on again, swapped the blown bulb in the IPF 900, got it cleaned out and powerwashed off. oh, and i had to redo my alignment AGAIN - by myself... the idgit that did it last time didn't torque the pass rear cam and it loosened itself up on the trail. that was a fun ride home! i finally pulled over at the interstate and checked and found that bolt loose. i readjusted it as best as i could on the side of the road and got it tight enough to get me home - w/ a 6" pair of vice grips! i got the 24" breaker bar out and got everything back in place and properly torqued and now it drives good again. i'll have pics up in a bit...

Dude those pics are awesome!! I'm glad we didn't stop to take many pics, but I'm also glad the ones you got turned out so good! I especially like the one showing the rock I dislodged on the small ledge at Fains Ford.

Rick you need to invest in a Power Tank...or some kind of OBA system...that or beadlocks!
Marmon/Keystone in Bham has great prices on tubing and they are local...you should check them out...that is where I'm getting my DOM stuff...next day service.
