Faithwheelers Mud Bog

This event is coming up. 9am to 4pm June 25th. Same location as the Webfooters event but we have a lot of changes.

We have an entirely different course for the not-so hard core group. Very challenging wheeling for the 33" tire and under rigs - this course is doubled in length from last year with some new optional lines for the better built.

The Rock Crawl is only PART of that track. We've rebuilt every obstacle from the start, right up to the rock pile and even drastically changed the start of the rock pile. We'll have a LOT more water on the course as well.

The brand new Rock climb obstacle for the buggys or other nuts! We'll be finishing this up next week and have pics for you then. For you guys with buggys lookig for a opportunity to play on an obstacle designed just for you, here it is!

Plus side by side mud bogs. Each mud bog will be VERY different.

This is a non-competitive even and is free to watch or participate.

There is no alcohol allowed. A safety/tech inspection is required ad all vehicles must have a fire extinguisher. All drivers and passengers must wear helmets.

For the big guys in the crowd, here's what to expect on the new TUFF TRUCK Course.

Robin was out today to help test obstacles and design the rock climb course.
I got to have a ride in the buggy - kewl!

We took a few pics. I forgot my camera so I used his.
This is the first part of the new hill climb. The descent into the ditch is fairly steep but you can descend under control. The water at the bottom has a lot of silt in it and is sloppy. The upslope is pretty tough. At the top there is a sharp turn around in a VERY swampy area.

The return portion of this is steeper. On the downside it will be hard to stop the rig - a controlled slide. At the bottom we added some boulders to keep from burying the nose of the rigs into the upslope. Robin pretty much ate up the uphill portion. He has to work pretty darn hard to make it up this section.

This is no easy climb!

Justin got to go for a ride this time through.

Robin posed for this picture. Those are 49" IROKs!

Even with this rig, he did have to take a couple runs to bump over a few places.

This was formerly the mogules section, now it is more of a frame twister.

Hey, where'd the front right tire go?

This was our Sausage Trap, but it didn't stop him. Still, this V section will make a lot of rigs work hard!

See what I mean!

Since I had just dropped Robin's camera in a mud puddle, this picture was the last we were able to get today.

For those of you NOT so hardcore, we doubled the size of the OBSTACLE course from last year. We've added a speed section where you can catch some air (and flip if you're not careful), better bypasses around the hard stuff and more optional lines to make some of the obstacles much more interesting.

Here's a link to some pics from last year's Obstacle Course.

For those of you looking for REALLY tough stuff, and particularly the buggy guys, we are building a BRAND NEW rock climb. 70+ degree boulder climbs up 20'. You want side hill, steep drop offs, HUGE boulders on a dirt climb and a pure boulder wall climb, this obstacle has it all. No pics yet, we've gone one more day of heavy duty building to get it finished. We'll be putting finishing touches on it right before the event on Friday night.

Don't feel like beating up your rig??? Come watch, it's free!

I suggest you bring a helmet though. After watching all the fun, you're going to want to get in your rig and give it a shot. All participants must wear a helmet and all rig's must pass a safety tech inspection - including anchor points front and rear.

Don't forget that we'll have 2 mud bogs this year. One will be a classic pedal to the metal bog - almost 300' long. Not to mention that the forest service can't say a thing about it LOL!

The other mud bog, well, let's just say that it'll require a little more skill and finess, but you'll have to be there to see it!
