Not a whole lot of info on that website, but it's real close to Windrock. Might be a good summer alternative too b/c it's at 3,300' elevation.
I'll do it! In fact, I'm leaving right now to go riding at a new place not far from Windrock. It's supposed to be awesome! I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Chris

P.S. It's supposed to be Utah like!!

Maybe I did, maybe I didn't!

Now all I need to do is sell the 00 and find just the perfect "tow rig"!

Sounds like Brian bought a first gen. Look for a fullsize Chevy truck or a Tundra as a tow vehicle.

The Chevy's I have had, have all been masters of reliability and they go through a lot of mud and towing on a daily basis all the way up to 300k miles and going.

No campground, but some damn good riding though. No ˟˟˟˟, it looks like your in the moab or Arizona. It's rocky as hell, but has some damn good challenging rock garden hill climbs. It's alos somewhat narrow, so scratches on all your beautiful rigs might ruin your day.

Okay, so I'd prefer that we do a ride on the 8-10th, 22-24th, or 29-31st. I'm planning to go ot Tellico and tearing my rig up on the hard shiat, so maybe the weekend before would be best.

22-24 is as early as I can go, preferably 29-31 or in Nov. I say we skip where you went today. Did you check out the campground in the link I sent you? It says they have one, but the website sucks and has little info.

Tellico for TTORA is the weekend on Oct. 15th, right?

I haven't checked the campground yet, but Frozen Head is somewhat close to Windrock. It's by brushy Mountain Penetentary(spelling?). The plae I went is fun as hell, but scratches would definitely occur. TTORA is on the 15th. After that is fine with me too. Plus it will be cooler then.

You guys are more the welcome to join the 4x4 wire/TTORA VA ride in GWNF. It's the weekend of Oct 23. If you are, then post it one of the sites - 4x4 wire or TTORA VA. We're trying to do a head count.

Trail rides - Friday at noon, Saturday at 9, & Sunday at noon. Possible night run on Friday or Saturday night.

Trail conditions - Easy. Mostly fire roads and ATV trails. A few stream crossings and a rock or two to climb. Only challenging was Kephart Falls and Dictums Ridge but I believe those are closed now. Depending on who shows, there may be a run out to Madison on Saturday.

Camping - Primitive. No running water, no electricity, bathroom in the woods. But plenty of fire wood.

Miscellenous - We gear this ride towards stockers to mild rigs or newer drivers. And tradition will hold that there is an emphasis on the social aspects of 4wheeling.
