Well no need in retyping everything. This is what I posted on the FJ Forums.
Well it's 4am and don't know how the hell ablank is getting wireless out here in the middle of nowhere. That Cingular Edge isn't too shabby. Well no need repeating everything he typed on a forum but yeah it's been an interesting evening to say the least. All I can say is "wait for the pics!"
We're like 10 miles East of New Mexico and done for the night. Drove about a 100 miles on pure 1" glassed over icy roads at around 15-30mph. Finally got are way around to what seemed to be some clear road then the snow. "ohh it's so pretty and fluffy" was the first comment for us Southern boys...man was that a mistake, haha
. Hit some 6-12' snow drifts plowed thru one deep on and then no more. Friend Adam (ablank) high centered his Jeep and was pulled out by a big John Deere tractor. Then he was pulled thru some farm land and I made it 1/2 way before the Deere came and pulled me out. Kid with the Deere was actually rockin a Bombadier 800 snowmobile when he found us. Before trying to plow thru the first big drift he said he'd get us out if we got stuck. Finally got out and proceeded about 18 miles @ like 15mph and came up to a 12' drift. Had no choice but to turn back after an hour or so and search for some shelter for the vehicles since that's what we were sleeping in. Of all people to show up about 5 miles from his house...the kid with the snowmobile. Offered up his nice farm house and towed us back thru the big drift. The rest is pretty much what ablank said below. Ohh and this 1/4 million dollar John Deere is the bomb, they have 7 of them.
OUT! Guru
P.S. Hell don't even know if we'll be able to get on the road tomorrow. Might just have to bust out the snowboards here.
P.S.S. For those of you bored, we're like 8 miles South of Texline.

It's pretty damn awesome.

Well boys, doesn't seem as though we're going to make it tomorrow. STILL hoping to make it to Colorado at all. Don't have a phone signal where we're at but do have internet. EMAIL is much easier, if you guys want to email me some phone numbers so I can call please do so.
jay AT revo1 DOT com. (replace the AT with @ and the DOT with .)
Still stuck in Texas but things are well. All the roads in New Mexico and Oklahoma are still closed as of this morning but some should be opening up tomorrow morning and we'll be headed out towards Colorado hopefully.
Here's a few pics we've taken so you guys have an idea of what kind of fun we've ran into the past 2 days. The kid (23) Austin who owns this farm is way cool. Here are a few pics of the conditions, road, and place we're hanging.
Happy New Years to you all.

was anyone here going to make this:
Alright this seems like the most concrete thing going. So if we need to edit this please let me know. Seems like we'll have people off the FJ Forums, TTORA, YotaTech and my buddy Adam who's following in his Heep.
I'll be checking these thread 2 or 3 more times before heading out on Friday morning. There are threads on all the above mentioned forums.

To sum things up. After leaving Houston on Friday, December 29th we have finally arrived to Breckenridge, CO 4 days later on Jan 1st, 2007. Through Tornados, Flood, Blizzard and Ice....HELL YEAH!!! Drove thru ALL of New Mexico on roads which were closed or not accessible. One very cool stretch saw is in open country for maybe 20 miles.
I'm thinking maybe back in Denver on Friday for a meet and greet and possibly some wheelin action, WHO's IN!!??

Jay,
may i make a suggestion ?
have this meet and greet either in the downtown area, or on the north end of town, since the last one was on the south end of town, and it was a sad showing to say the least
Im not saying more people will make it. just a thought.

No night run??? How about something in North Denver near 1-25 so that it is more accesible to those coming from the Fort. There is a CB&Potts I think at 120th and 1-25...
Anyone gonna do the run on the 7th with Rising Sun? Meeting at Cemetary above Central City (Where we aired down for our snow run last weekend) Their web site says it is still on...
********
Date: Sunday Jan. 7th, 2007
Time: Meet at 9am or so and leave by 10:00am sharp
Cb Channel 4
Wil will air down and chain up (if your using chains) at the meeting place.
