Done!

I'm working nights from 7pm to 7am so I'll be monitoring this thread to reflect all desired changes for about the next 4 days.

It's good to see more people being able to go each day!

Sounds like a possible plan, although at this stage I was hoping to get away late afternoon eg 4pm. I wait until a little closer to the date to know what I'm able to do.

Cheers
Mark

I will be leaving San Luis Obispo around 8am Fri. morning.

Reggie, if I get a late start, we may be seeing each other on the road.

We will see when the time gets closer, but we may be able to meet in Tehachapi.

Hey Ken, I just got done watching your slideshow from last years DV trip. Nice pics and captions! Makes me wish I was going tomorrow. Maybe this time I will get the best camping spot instead of you guys. (YOu know it is going to be a race to get that site next June lake trip!)

I changed my departure time to 8am so that I will get there with some daylight left to cruise around a bit with Ken (hopefully) before it gets dark and the other people start to show up.

Ken - will you be going through Ridgecrest on your way into DV? The alternate route sounds interesting since I didn't come in that way last year and we would have time to cruise the southern end, maybe have time to get our tires pissed on by the Ballarat hound...

Hi Ryan, I will be coming from the north and turning east toward DV just out of Lone Pine onto 136. If you wanted to meet up somewhere, let me know.

I've heard it's good luck to have your tires pissed on by the ballarat dog.

mark me down as tentative with one guest. I won't know until we get closer if I'll be able to make it. If so, I'll probably be leaving LA around the same time as Lance (9pm friday night...sitting in traffic to Vegas on I-15 will be fun )

Currently we only have interest on the option 1 for Monday/Tuesday. Should this be locked down? If so, this means that we will be camping in White Top Mountain (back country) so if this is good for everyone I will update the itinerary accordingly.

Thanks!

Lance, sounds good to me. Where we planning on camping at the end of the road (I mean the locked gate) on White Mountain? It's fine with me, we will just have to make sure everyone knows that it is at a pretty high elevation. Sounds like a really cool place, too bad we couldn't work it out with the university, and drive to the top.

I'd love to go with you guys but I'm out of work = no $$$ for trips.

Just wanted to make sure you guys knew that Scotty's gas station is out of commission right now... but I saw it noted on the itinerary. I was down in December and noticed the tank was roped off and there were signs everywhere saying it was closed.

Since Scotty's has no gas, will we need extra gas for that section of the tour.

Lance, I'm thinking that we should lock down Option 1 since it seems everyone who wants a say in it has already voiced their opinions. I'm going to change the first post to reflect it.

Ken - Maybe we could meet in Panamint Springs for dinner on Friday? I'm stoked about getting to go at my own pace from Ridgecrest to Panamint!
