First attempt at the requested tire tread text...

I'm not liking the way they turned out, but I'm still working on it. We might decide to bag it because I think it makes the text too busy. Plus, there wouldn't be any way to make decals like that. Just thought I would throw it out there...

Gotta agree with Ric on the IFS front. The SAS just looks a little off with the realism of the rest of the outline. I'm assuming the rst of the image was traced from an actual photo. I'd love to have a look at how the rest of the original pic would look traced out. Prefer the Stencil lettering , w/out tread.

You are correct.

I had to SaS it to get the rear up higher for taller text. I could shrink the text some and bring the IFS back but I am kind-of liking the SaS now. Its not perfect, but its pretty darn close now.

what about adding some mountains in the background...

I also think the lines of the truck are very thin - kind of get lost - escpecially if this is a decal. It would be hard to see anthing but the headlight of the truck from more than a few feet away - IMHO.

Just to bring this back up.
Mark and myself are working on getting things lined up, we are also working on getting "supporters"... here is some of the businesses we are getting support from:
Glenwood Motor Inn motel
Armorology
BushinBumpers
ORI (broomfield)
Tires Plus (westminster)

We still are talking to a few other businesses, so we will see how things pan out.

Was having some fun with a photo I took while wheelin this weekend. Thought I'd put it up for you guys to look at. TRD90, the inspiration came from the outline effect you have in your design.

Oh yeah, oops on the comma, I can change that. I just have to wait 'till I go into work tomorrow to do it. Too many important things to do at home to do things that can easily waste an hour or two at work. Seeing the pic on another screen makes me want to do a little better on the back ground. I'll post up edits tomorrow.

Anybody have any idea on how much campsites are going to be? How many rigs can you fit onto one site? I'll only be taking up 1.25 parking spots as I will be sleeping inside my rig if anyone wants to split a site. Also, will there be power available? (One vote for campground with slots that offer power hook-ups) I have gotten used to camping at crawford's up at tellico which now has wireless internet so I figure I should ask if I'll be able to plug in or if I should come prepared. I'm doing my budgeting for the trip right now so thats why I was wondering about prices. Sorry I have been MIA, its finals weekend for me and I'm going nutz I'll get the emblem ironed out soon, I promise!

turboale,

Camping for Glenwood Springs Sept CO4RJ.....

Well I had a chance to speak with 2 of the 3 camp grounds this weekend in/near Glenwood Springs.

#1 Is Rockgardens camp ground. It is in the Glenwood Springs Canyon. Just off of I-70 in No Name, Colorado. It is very nice! but a little $$ The best off I got for a group rate is $28.00 per tent per night. There is a ton of room, and the sites are on the Colorado river. I have not seen the sites personally. But from what I know, and I have seen it while rafting, they are one of the nicer ones in Glenwood Springs. http://www.glenwoodcanyonresort.com/

#2 Is AMI'S acres. It is in the west part of Town. The rate would be $7.00 per person per night. They seem like a few cool guys. They said that they have a site up on a hillside that they can get in about 15 tents. But only about 10-12 vehicle can fit up in that lot. So this may work.

#3 The Hideout in south Glenwood Springs. They have not answered their phone all weekend. They are closed Mon-Tues. is what the answering machine said. I will call Wed. then. ad let everyone know.

STAYING @ THE MOTEL
I spoke with the family for lodging. They will offer a discount. But you have to let me reserve the rooms for you so there is no mess with the other reservations.
Here is the deal with the motel if you want to stay there.

If you decide to stay anytime during (Sept 31st thru Sept 4) CO4RJ rate will be $60 for a room with 1Queen Bed 1-2 people $5.00extra for a rollaway cot if needed for the kids.

For rooms with 2queen beds 2-4 people per room. The rate would be $79.00 per night.
Basically its about $15bucks off the regular rate per night.
I know its kinda high. But this is the high season rates.

Stayed tuned for more info...
