Chains in November?

Chains in November?
I'm taking a month off and driving west to a couple of my favourite places to hangout. Problem being I've never been there outside of the summer months. It snowed on me in September so I'm a bit worried about what I will encounter in November. I would rather not buy chains for this trip but will I need them? I want to drive Highway 34 in Colorado through Rocky Mountain National Park, Highway 20 through the Oregon Cascades, and Union Pass north of Pinedale, Wyoming. I might also take Highway 2 through Glacier National Park and Montana.

Don't know about other states, but in Washington you are REQUIRED to have chains with you to travel the mountain passes after Nov 1.
There are stores/shops that sell chains will take them back if you didn't use them (after the snow season...April 1)

Trail ridge road will certianly be closed. We do a reuninon in Estas park every other year usually in june. For the past 10 years the road has been closed at least half the week we were there for weather related reasons. If not 2' of snow then its the 90mph wind gusts that litterly blow you off the side of the mntn
