Wish i was in GA, Durhamtown is a bad ass place.

 

Subscribed! I'm interested in meeting some Atlanta Yota-folk. I've been in Atlanta for about a year and a half. I got my first Toyota a couple of days ago ('85 4x4 Pickup). My previous 4x4's were '79 Scout and '89 Trooper. I've been in the South my whole life. Scout was my first vehicle.

 

You guys still out there? I should have my truck back on the road in a few weeks, so lets get this thing going again.

 

I'm here. Not as often in this thread though. I'm usually in the 84-85 room... Or PMing me works best. Haven't seen Urban on in a while come to think of it. UA, did you ever get to D'town?

 

I haven't made it to Durhamtown yet. I had a day-trip planned about a month ago but we had 3 days of rain leading up to the trip. I called D'town and asked about the conditions and the guy excitedly said, "we got a lot of mud!" A lot of mud is the last thing I am looking for. However, I would like to reschedule it in the next few weeks.

 

Are you kidding? That place looks awesome. I want to go trail run (with my feet) the single track and trail ride (with my truck) the double track.

Also, Urban, I'm with you. Mud sucks.

 

I am gonna ride out today to D'town since its only a few miles away.

 

Anyone interested in a meetup this Saturday?

P.s. I snuck out to Durhamtown Off Road Park today. Good times. I took some pics and will do a trail report tomorrow.

At some point, I highly recommend this location for a meet. 1.5hr from Atlanta, trails from mild to wild, tons of parking, and we could have some adventure that doesn't involve eating a hot dog from the Varsity.

Be sure to check their new hours. I believe some of the trails close at 3:30 or 4:30 on Weekdays.

There are seperate zones for ATV's, motos and 4x4's.

Awesome! I vote for a non-holiday weekend to avoid crowds. I believe they are open year round. Will be a great group run.

I have a 2wd. Will my wilder beast be able to do these trails?

 

Durhamtown is open daily from 10-4:30. Looks like Monday won't work for me. I'm wide l open on Tuesday though. I could be there when they open and fool around all day. Anyone else interested?

Also, urbanassault, is where you're talking about down near McDonough? I could make it down there or up to Gwinette on a weeknight.
