There is two optional hill climbs you can do that are pretty challenging if you are open diffed. Even with one locker its hard, but not impossible.

You guys are going to have a good time

they are all on a CD ROM that Schaefer is sending out in a few days.

If you'd like, maybe Steve will be nice enough and post some pics for proof.

I'd actually like to see some myself, I dont remember all that was taken...

But I liked Jim's stinky clutch. So I guess it's not worth driving 26 hours.

Sorry Bighead, no more stinky clutch...I'll just smoke stinky cigars instead.

42 is a fun trail for a stocker.

We saw a Toy flop and winched him back over.

Casey, I will post more pics in the AM, the disc is in the truck and I am headed to bed.

I'll be there with the skid-plate-less 4Runner or the FJ-62.

Either one will be fun. Maybe the 4Runner will even be 2WD. If I sell the front diff soon.

Some people have PM'd me to tell me about this, but for some strange reason the "reply" button was missing

Anyway, this sounds like a really fun trip, but Sunday's just wont work for me. I look forward to the next Saturday trip though.

Have a blast guys, and take lots of pics!

Ok, the 4Runner goes under the knife before this run. More than likely it will not have a front drive shaft.

NO WORRIES, I will be there! More then likely I'll bring the FJ-62.

If you guys have not seen the 4Runner, you will, next time.

Swing by and watch the swap if you want.

See you guys out on FR-42!

LWNJ,

You gonna do the swap via webcam or start your own SAS thread?

See ya Sunday!

Is there a grocery store in Carefree? I may drag the rig down on the trailer and unload in Carefree if possible. We'll see...

Mark-

There is a Bashas right as you get into town on the right hand side. I think it is actually a few miles in the opposite direction that you guys will be going, but not far enough to be an inconvenience.

Watch out for the noise pollution laws they put into place (because of all the Harley's) with that loud Toy of yours.

Thanks Christian!

It's been years since I went thru CF in daylight. I almost got lost up there last year at night after going to a funeral in Scottsdale. I remember driving thru 20 miles of open desert to get there, and now it's miles of nothin' but gated communities and golf courses I'd never heard of.

Noise pollution?

As long as they don't care about the no Cat Converter, no EGR, de-smogged 22RE I'll be fine...

It's quieter now than it used to be - the LCE header and Flowmaster were loud! The current 6" dia truck muffler isn't too bad below 3000 RPM. Over that it get's a bit raspy.
