**CANCELED** ARIZONA - "Everybody" Run. FR-42 Bartlett Lake. Sunday, February 13

That's right a run for everyone, no matter what 4WD you have, stock or modified. Everyone can do this trail.

DATE: Sunday, February 13, 2005

WHERE: Bartlett Lake Pay Station. (N33 50.702 W111 38.875)

TIME: 9:00 am (Meet 8:30 am, Pull out 9:00 am)

HOW DO I GET THERE:

101 to North Scottsdale. Exit Pima Road - Princess, NOT Pima - 90th Street. Head north on Pima road until you get to Cave Creek Road. Turn Right and head East on Cave Creek Road. Continue East on Cave Creek Road until you get to Bartlett Dam Road. Turn right on Bartlett Dam Road and continue toward Bartlett Lake. The road ends and turns into the Pay Station. It is impossible to miss.

This trail is rated 3 out of 5. Which is plain old 4WD. No mods, no lift, just 4WD.

If anyone has problems, we will help you or pull you where ever you need to go. There is also no way you will get any body damage what so ever. The trail is all desert hills and granite.

I'll be there- this should be an awesome spring time run in the high desert!

I should be able to take the Carefree Hyw east from I-17, or is it faster to drop down to the 101?

I think Carefee Highway east would be faster.

That is approx 20 miles. There is only 1 turn off and all you have to do is NOT take it. The entire road is paved, if the pavement ends, your not on the road to Bartlett. Its easy to find.

Just don't drive into any bushes. Bushes are your only threat out there, bring a pruning lopers if you want, I'm sure the trees could use a triming.

It is an easy one.

You can bring a buddie. How about friends of Yotatech people. I just don't want it posted on other boards, etc.

Yotatech people and their friends.

Looks like I will finally get to meet Mark and personally see his rig as well as Steve and his rig.

This is turning out to a fun gathering event.

Can't wait.

Today, Myself, My wife, Jeff the Marmot, Flygtstein, Bwillie & NitroHotpants (casey) ran FR-42.

I can report back that the trail has been trimed/maintained and there will be no issues with bushes. The trail has been recently maintained and no one will have any trouble what so ever.

This trail is a lot of fun, the scenery is spectacular and the trail itself is not hard.
There is two optional hill climbs you can do that are pretty challenging if you are open diffed. Even with one locker its hard, but not impossible.

You guys are going to have a good time

Should have made the run when Casey and Flygt were in town.

Also, how long is the run? Is it an all day run?

Uh, no. It would have been too big and we were pretty tired by that point. After 2 really long hard days.

I can run the trail in 1 hour by myself. The bigger the group the longer the run. I would plan on most of the day with the size of the group that it looks like is going to be there.

We were going to run a trail in Tucson and at the spur of the moment decided to do an easy close one.

No. But at least you will not stink your clutch. BUT what we could do is run a hard trail like Martinez on Saturday.

I have to have a heart to heart fire side chat with you. Casey rolled through Martinez and Woodpeck with no stinkie or smokeie, with 1/2 of the power you have.

Fix you clutch and I have a very small chap item and it will ice the cake.

What you have is perfect, we figured out how you can control it.
