Anza Borrego trip in October

Hope some of you guys can come along. No dates yet as I haven't got my work schedule but will have something more firm in next few days.

I'm sure we can cater for any rig stock to modded.

Cheers
Mark

I am located in Texas, and will be making a road trip in December to see my family in California. Will not make your run, but will be heading to Anza Borrego with my father in my Taco, and my Aunt in hers.

Have fun on the run!

I was planning a trip out there around that time--if you want to organize it that is great.

Cool. Great to hear from you guys.

Sorry I haven't got dates. My boss promised me my work schedule would arrive in the mail today which of course it didn't so hopefully tomorrow it'll turn up.

At this stage I expect we will leave LA around 4pm and arrive at Borrego Springs a few hours later (3hrs I think? Forgot since since last trip!)

We'll wheel all Saturday and till approx 1pm Sunday.

Hopefully we can setup two run groups if necessary, to cater for stock rigs.

I will be looking for some challenges for my sliders

We will be camping Saturday night - there has been some discussion about dining and sleeping at Borrego Springs Motel (God my memory is shocking - not sure that's its name - I'll check with the other boss (WIFE) about that.) on Friday evening.

Ok - gotta get to bed now. More details soon.

Don't forget to check in at
Anza Borrego October 05 linky for up to date info.

Cheers
Mark

Dates are Friday 14 October to Sunday 16 October.

Departing around 4pm Friday from LA.

Obviously your free to meet up with us at anytime and depart anytime as I know the dates and times may not suit everyone.

We will plan on trails for rigs with a lift and sliders but if any stock rigs are coming (I'm sure there'll be some) we will organise alternative routes/trails for times when the going might get too tough.

Please check-in at link above for planning details.

CB radios are not essential but preferable. I have spare FRS/GMRS radios for anyone who's not CB connected so at least they can stay in touch.

Hope to see you guys - it should be fun - remember to bring your poker face for Texas Hold-em on Friday night

Cheers
Mark

The price you pay when working north but traveling south. Avoiding the 405 is the main consideration

Count me in for the middle of October along with my bro in his 67 FJ 40,
I believe that weekend is a "operation desert fun" weekend for "cal4wheel.com", so make reservations soon for those who plan on spending a night in a hotel.

later,
Pablo

I'm with you, we should sit this one out. Not to mention the CA4wdc event going on at the same time.
SD Crew should plan a desert trip later in the month.

hmm, SDC... kinda cool, where's that guy making all the stickers?
We have enough local "members" to be a "4WDclub"
Plus all the work Matt,Marc, and I did on white mtn trail in BB it's like we adopted it.
