When it cools down a little more I will be planning a desert trip. Probably to Ocotillo or Coyote Canyon, or both.

ttora's mjt run seems iffy so i'm going to pass on it.
Looks to be another hot weekend. I'll just lock myself up in my room with an xbox and a/c blasting.

Somebody said coyote canyon is closed for re-work, but when they reopen they won't be offering off roading. Not sure if it's true.

I think you are talking about Los Coyotes. I heard they are changing that area into a horse and hiking area only--not sure why, but it sucks.

coyote canyon closes every year from may till late september due to it being the only year round water source for bighorn sheep and other desert creatures. los coyotes is closed to 4x's indefinately. the tribe at one time needed the money of the wheelers, but now with the casino sharing, they dont need our dough anymore. horse's don't start fires and are more environmentally friendly, so it was only a matter of time, before we got kicked out. i'm up for a run sometime soon but i want to go someplace cool.
