Tierra Del sol is coming up, and Deathrunner posted a thread about a trip to corral canyon tomorrow (26th). TDS would be a key upcoming event.

Looking at where Yucaipa is on Mapquest, it looks like Big Bear is right next door to you. That Angeles natl forest looks like a good place to start.

TDS (tierra del sol) is an event located in the Anzo-Borrego national park off the I-8 on the way to El-Centro. Looks like your best bet would be to come down off the I-10. If you need some help for getting your rig street legal, start a thread and someone may be willing to help you out. If it's minor stuff that you just need an extra hand, shoot me a PM. I'd hate for someone to not go because no one would help them.

Just got back from south coyote canyon in Anza Borrego. Had I known this morning you could have gone with. There is some good wheeling in big bear also, try either Gold Mountain or Holcomb Creek, both are real good!

i've been a long time member here but don't remember ever posting... anyways, i might be going to san gabriel ohv park/azusa canyon tomorrow. it'd be cool if i saw some yotatech members there. i'll be in a white 04 4runner sport and will be tagging along with a nissan armada. it'll be my first time testing the terra grapplers.

Yucaipa---I didn't know anyone actually lived there. Do you frequent the Mentone Beach club?? I lived up in the Barton Flats area for a year, so I am familiar with that area. You are not far from Johnson Valley, and really not too far from Anza and Truckhaven.

You will need to make your truck street legal to go almost anywhere.

thanks all u guys fro all the posts. i will definatly try to make some of these trips! i think it would be pretty cool to meet some of u guys. again i will start another thread about how to make my truck street legal it is mostly the fact that i just bought it and im still in the title transfer stage and no insurance yet. ut i have a feeling that smog is gonna be fun trying to pass. everything runs well but there are soo many mods from k&n filter to the new clutch master clutch the lift the shocks i must replace! just odds and ends that have to be either replaced or fixed. my power steerings pump is shot anyone know what that will cost?
oh and i need to get new parts for my sway bar it is completely detached right now lol thanks guys let me know

What year is your 4Runner and what size motor? I run an auto parts store in Hemet. Should be able to give you some help on your project. I also have some good connections for shocks as I pit for an offroad race team.

I have my Tokiko doublecab shocks sitting at home. PM me if you're interested in them. I was thinking $100 for both front and rear or $50 for front or rear.

tacrunner-- it is a 94 runner with the 3.0 ltr v6 and im looking for possibly rancho shocks but really if u would recomend anything else let me know but basically once i get it smogged it will be street legal. anyone know if i need the stock airbox rather than the k&n filter to pass smog? anyways the one thing i need is all 4 shocks. the right front is compltely shot lol i heard it clankin and ratlin last time i was wheelin figured it was a bad idea to continue so i headed home. anyways guys thatnks for the posts let me know

hytech, looks as if you have a SAS in front. I have a feeling you're going to need custom length shocks. Procomp shocks are cheap and will get the job done. To me, all the emulsion shocks are the same (rancho, procomp, doetshce tech, etc.)

As for the K&N filter,as long as you have the carb approval sticker form K&N, you will be fine. You do hva ethat sticker, don't you?

Hytech, you will need the carb sticker for smogging that truck, or find a stock airbox. As far as shocks go, It does look like you have some suspension mods so you will have to measure your travel and figure out what kind of mounts you need. Then we can go from there. I can get some sweet deals on Bilstiens, just need to know what you want. The reman ps pump is around $106.00 exchange. It would take me a day to get it. Let me know.
