I had a scare earlier this year when they tore it down. I was worried that they wouldn't have the new one up in time.

 

Thanks, is there anything else I should know before I go? This is my first time going and I don't know what to expect or prepare for... Do I need one of those red flag things?

 

Obey the speed limit signs on the beach and around the campers, they will ticket you. Don't drive in the surf. Have fun and be safe, don't launch off of dunes without knowing what's on the other side.

Street legal vehicles do not need the orange whip flag, but it is recommended (I still need to get one, and feel like a douche for not having one. ) They also have some cool square pirate ones that you can get as well.

 

yeah i was bummed i had to pay for air at ampm, but i use a flag and just go out and have fun and be safe dont worry about anything 70elcoss just have a good time

 

and they sell those square ones there?? im thinking about just buying it and leaving it on hahahah they are cool. but yeah im not really worrying i just domt know what to expect... this is basically my first time offroading

 

im postponing my trip to the dunes this weekend to go to the jamboree!! hahaha so yup im 100% sure im going....

Got back from the dunes at about midnight last night...


It wasnt the Brofest I expected it to be on labor day weekend.


Maybe its just me, but I swear that the sand around Comp Hill has gotten softer.
