Casey (Casey), Bruce (BruceTS), George (SkyRat), and I went to Rowher Flats today.

It was fun. The trail we did wasn't the most challenging, but there were a few difficult parts and lines to choose carefully. A good wheelin afternoon indeed. Check out the pictures on my website... here.

finally got a real chance to test out my recently installed 4WD. its nice to actually have a low range and make it up things that I could never make in 2WD.

I cant wait for the next adventure!

Charles, I guess I hadn't seen your grille recently. I like the new/old TOYOTA logo! I do prefer the OEM grille, though.

Casey, it's a little different now, huh?! I don't think you would've been in this report without your recent mod. I bet you'll really get some good use out of the low range. Congrats!

i actually got to use 4lo, and it definitely nice when you need it, it makes things a lot easier, and more controlled. No more 2 wheel peels

 

Looks like a fun place. I guess the 4x4 conversion really worked out well--glad to see it. Now you will need to come down south for the next SD run.

The route we took was quite easy, but there was a few optional routes that were challenging. Here's Skyrat attempting one of the steeper routes:

Thanks! I still need to make the mounts for the stock plastic cover, but working 6 days a week, really cuts into my fabrication time. I've got a lot of little things to do, before Hammers. So far the bumper has held up quite well, I've even smacked it into the rocks and banks down in San Diego with only scratches to the paint.

 

For a finale, I took them to a steep climb, but we didn't have enough time to go all the way to the top, so we stopped a top the first rise and came back down the way we went up. Casey comming back down, it's kinda of deceiving.......
